    Guys,

    First I noticed na nasa kalahati na lang ang oil level (based on the dis stick). Kaka-change-oil lang last month. Then I found out na nagli-leak ang langis pataas hanggang sa pumasok na sa cylinder. Basa ng langis ang spark plugs ng tanggalin ko. With idle engine, tumitilamsik pataas ang langis pag binuksan yung refill cap. According to my uncle, oil pushing daw yun and the solution is overhaul.... Whew... Holdup na naman to... Mababawasan yung iniipon ko para mapalitan ang car...

    But before I bring it a shop, I would like to ask for opinion from our experts and from those who might have experienced the same thing. Ang pinagtataka ko kasi, ok naman ang takbo ng car. Ok din ang acceleration. Hindi naman pumupugak ang makina. Yun nga lang, occasionally mausok lalo na pag paakyat. Then I also noticed na may tunog na parang kuliglig yung breather valve (correct me if i'm wrong... yun yung hose from the top of the engine going to the carb, katabi ng hose papunta sa air cleaner). Parang hissing sound. Can that be a factor?

    hey bro, well I'm pretty sure na bilang na ang buhay ng makina mo! JK! hehehe. anywayz, based on your description of your problems, it could be caused of diff. things. its either from a worn Valve Seal or Valve Guides, to a worn Piston Ring (which is the worst thing that could ever happen). anywayz, how many miles does your car/engine have?? also, did you do a Comression Test??

    ngee! buti nga humatak pa he he! anyway what you can do is try mo muna top overhaul mas mura yon. pero pag tingangal yung cylinder head pa-check mo narin yung mga pistons kung may kalog na.

    try mo muna magpa compression test bago ka magpa-overhaul. baka naman may ibang dahilan yung wet spark plug mo like busted oil seals sa valve cover.

    yung sa oil filler cap, normal na meron konting oil na tumilamsik basta wag lang sobrang lakas. pag malaks kasi ibig sabihin na sobrang lakas na nung blow by gasses.

    kung talagang over haul na, pag isipan mo uli. pwede mo kasi yan palitan ng 4afe. from what i've read, bolt on siya sa ae92. not sure jan sa model ng kotse mo.

    Thanks for your replies... Actually last august nagpapalit na ako ng piston rings, cylinder head gasket, valve seals... But just recently, I got a "tip" from another car owner na minsan daw fake ang parts na binebenta dun sa binilhan ko dati (based on his experience). Kaya medyo nagdududa ako na baka fake yung mga nabili ko dati kaya sira agad after a few months.

    San ba pwedeng magpa-compression test? Yung medyomalapit lang sa cainta....Medyo jurasic lang kasi yung mga gamit dun sa suking talyer ko.

    Mileage ko pala is 127,000 +++

    Dre, we have in common w/ our car.
    I'm still looking for available engine, preffered engine is ST or Hi-Horse budget is aroun 20 to 26k.
    Co-forumers baka meron sa inyong me alam na nagbebenta ng engine,.

    I never had an overhaul before. Our 1988 Nissan Sentra stayed with us for 18 years without overhaul and ang mileage niya when we sold it was 180k+ at hindi mausok matipid pa sa gas. Alaga lang sa change oil para hindi masira agad

    updated lang po re my problem...

    pina-top-overhaul ko yung car. may nakita akong shop sa pasig na dating taga toyota yung may ari. kitang kita ko na talagang blown na yung head gasket. nakailang oveheat din kasi a day before dalhin ko dun sa shop.

    so far, satisfied naman ako sa gawa. saka talagang ini-explain nung mekaniko yung mga nakikita nyang sira. then hindi taga yung singil... spent 9,500 lahat lahat na. ang laki ng diperensya ng takbo ngayon kumapara before (actually even better than how the car runs a year ago nung kabibili ko pa lang). i hope ayos na talaga... thanks sa lahat ng nagbigay ng inputs.

    Just FYI: The 4AFE engine has the cams right by the oil filler hole, talagang tatalsik yung oil when the engine is running due to the rotation of the inside parts that are close to the hole. I once forgot to return the oil cap on ours, napansin ko it did the same thing. Not all engines that spew oil out the oil filler require overhaul.

    I think you learned your lesson here - try not to overheat it too often. Kahit matatag ang Toyota engines, no engine is indestructible.

    tama si sir mbeige.meron din akong GL.normal lang yung pagtalsik ng langis pag binuksan mo yung oil filler hole pag naandar ang makina.try mo silipin yung oil filler hole pag patay makina.makikita mo yung lamang loob nya.
