kasi galing sya ng overheat so pinaayos ko sya, after ko ipaayos parang nagooverheat pa din, nilagyan ko ng coolant, forgot the brand, i used it 1 month ago, after two weeks i need to overhaul the radiator, so the coolant drained by the radiator shop.
further inspection of head and block will reveal which way to go. that is, you have to remove the head and check for warpage in the head and block. if head is warped, better buy surplus. grinding is not recommended on aluminums. if block, remove the block assy and have it disassembled and assembled by a competent machine shop.
is your van L3 gas or diesel? warping usually occurs at the side of the exhaust manifold where the hot gases pass through. check this out my friend: http://tsikot.com/forums/engine-fuel...na-hehe-78304/
Ideally hanggat umaandar ang sasakyan buksan mo engine compartment, yung rad cap dahan dahan tanggalin at maglagay ng fresh water without shutting off the engine para gradual ang pagbaba ng temperature.
Kapag bumubulwak usually nga either head gasket or cylinder head ang may problem or puwede din na both. In any case kelangan top overhaul niyan. Mura kung head gasket lang.
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
nice thread sir, salamat!.
there is a possibility the cylinder head bolts were not torqued to the right value or the cylinder head bolts were installed and torqued in the wrong sequence. as a practice in the past, the cylinder head and the cylinder block mating surfaces were sanded down in attempt to clean it. this removes the certain degree of roughness on the surface to prevent the cylinder head gasket from sliding too much during heat/cold cycles of the engine. if the clamping force of the bolts is not enough or the surface condition being too smooth and slippery, then the gasket keeps sliding and create a gap allowing pressurized gases and fluids to go past the gasket seal
to the TS, this might help a lot too...maybe the headbolts were not really torqued to the right specs and sequence. could be that your mechanic just did the "usual tightening". mine bubbled also about a year after the gasket job. retorqued it again to specs and right sequence, bubbling issue gone.
