I was wondering what is the proper way to check the engine oil level, dapat ba pag umaga i check, yung tipong di mo pa stinastart? o istart muna and then ioff tapos saka check.

i usually check on it sa umaga, nakapatay pa ang makina.. bago ko istart... check on the color of the oil and if hanggang saan nalang siya.. kung nababawasan ba mabilis.. or may leak na..

For air cooled porsches, 30 mins running engine before you check the oil.

to get the correct reading, the vehicle should be on a level spot. with the engine at operating temperature and turned OFF, wait say 5-10 minutes to let the oil drain back into the bottom and then check the oil level on the dipstick...

pull it out, wipe it clean, reinsert as far as it will go, then pull it out again and look at the fluid level on the end..

hehe... parang iba na yata meaning nun ah..

    yup... wait 5-10 minutes...

maraming nagogoyo sa mga gasoline station sa ganyan. nung papunta akong batanggas, sinubukan ko lang ipa-check just for the fun of it (at di ko naman gawain ang ganun).

ayun, according to the dipstick... 1/4 ang kulang ko... sabi nung gasoline boy dagdagan na raw. sabi ko naman eh kaka change oil ko pa lang sa casa. sabi nya, ganun daw talaga kapag kakachange oil pa lang... nababawasan (huh?).

pagdating namin ng batanggas, after resting the vehicle for a while, chineck ko. back to normal ulit.
