sir, what are the after effects on my engine when i change my fuel... currently in using v-power what if i'll be changing it to premium or even regular unleaded? also do i need to drain my tank?

No need sir. Ok lang yan ihalo as long as if you change variants, stick to it for a while before trying another (if you're experimenting). It's ok to mix unleaded fuels but it's always best to stick to one fuel you think is best for your tsikot.

Changing from a higher octane fuel to a lower octane, you might notice a slight drop in acceleration and mileage. Minsan may engine knock pa but after maybe 2-3 full tanks usually nawawala din.

    What's your ride sir?

Just experiment on diff fuels sir. Most EFI engines will actually run more efficiently on higher octane gas. May Altis runs 7km/l on Xtra unleaded and 10km/l on Blaze. So for my ride, in quantity mas mahal nga yung blaze pero in essence mas mura talaga ang blaze.

In your case, if you really want to try premium/super unleaded, I suggest trying one fuel for two full tanks then another for two full tanks again. Let your engine adjust. After every first full tank (each fuel) measure your mileage. Believe me you might find interesting results.

1.3 to diba? siguro hindi naman noticeable ang magiging difference sa FC mo.

i dont think it will create issues. experiment ka muna. no need to drain, but much better if you can consume your fuel muna before loading up with lower octane fuel so you can feel the difference. pag may halo-halo pa, di ganung ka noticeable yung difference eh.

although if your car is 1.3 cc, wala kang makikitang noticable change dyan.

well i think more effecient nga ang high octane, sabi nga ng mga gas boy eh mas gaganda ang milage when we use it (kaya matipid).. pero if you will do the math now its 37.10 vs 31.60.. if you will need atleast additional 1km per liter difference to make it break even... pano pa pag natraffic ka ng todo like in quirono h.way

thanks sa mga reply mga sir... i'll try it on a premium

Yun nga lang talo talaga pag traffic kasi mas mabilis masunog ang higer octane gas.

Every engine reacts differently on fuels. The best way really is to try it and measure your mileage. Most of the time, people notice improved acceleration after switching to a higher octane fuel but ultimately, it will really depend on the engine itself.
