Bumping during cold start

Hi sir/ ma'am,

somebody experience a Honda Civic FD 2006 model AT
bumping during cold start when you shift to Drive and Reverse.
but if I let the engine to heat-up first before I shift
to D or R no bumping.
or if I wait until the (Menor) during start lower to 500-600rpm
no bumping also.

This could be because of the idle-up during cold starts. Usually, as the engine warms up, the ecu activates the idle up to assist the idling, which normally goes up to 1,200 rpm then gradually goes down to 800 to 700 rpm if normal operating temp is already achieved. During these cold periods, say 1,200 rpm, if you shift the AT, normally there will be higher torque which would be the impression of a bumping shift. It normalizes if the rpm stabilizes at 700. I guess this is normal.

The 1.8 FD has a nominal idle RPM of 750 when hot. On its coldest, it may idle-up to 1,400 to 1,500 RPM for several seconds. It is normal to feel some shift-shock while the engine is still in this state.

The shift-shock has always been there as Honda A/Ts were designed to be more grabby with the clutches. Also, the event is likely amplified by the fact that it just received a fresh ATF, which replenished any friction modifiers that were used up in the old ATF.

sa honda civic vti ko dati manual siya pag cold start ayaw pumasok ng kambyo.pero pag naginit na siya ok na.hintay ka muna ng mga 3mins bago pumasok ung gear niya
