March 20th, 2009 02:03 AM #1Brods,
1) SERVO REPLACEMENT --> 9.5K (parts), 350 (labor)
2) TOP OVERHAUL --> 15K aabutin
3) INJECTION FUEL REPLACEMENT --> P4500 each x (4)
4) THROTTLE Repair (??)

sample scenarios are ;
if the O2 sensor is lazy and stuck at low,the result will be rich ,why ? it's because the ECM was seeing it as a very lean condition.
coolant sensor ,if it stucked at cold ( 4-5 v reading is considered cold) the computer will give more fuel .
or if the vacuum is low the map sensor will make it rich too (if equipped)
alot of things to be checked first before attempting to change any major parts suspected.
the best thing to do is you to find a shop who is specialized in ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS not the shops who can only change parts and get lucky .
otherwise you're at risk of getting the same results and that will be a problem.

baka nga overhaul (full) na yan...
wag ka mag pa top overhaul...
if i were to spend 5 digits sa engine ko i'd rather look around for a japan surplus engine, 4g63 or something. too many things can go wrong in an engine overhaul kasi, and mitsubishi has many engine types to choose from naman.
Automatic po Sir
