I decided to start my corolla GLi and less than a minute after start, I rev the engine over & over for a few seconds then idle .. I then rev it to the red line for a few seconds and again ..

Happy new year. [emoji16]. Bakit kasi ginawa mong pangpaingay yun kotse mo sa pagsalubong ng new year? Malakas ba tunog muffler mo?

hindi nman radiator yung ng overfllow, yung reservoir po ng radiator ... hindi nman nang yari sakin during long drives, tapos ngayon lang while nka park at revv lng .. or baka hindi ko lng napansin sa longdrive na ng overflow .. kailangan ba din palitan ang reservoir cap kung luma na ?? (kasi plastic lng dba)

Radiator caps kasi acts as a pressure release valve.

Dapat kasi, mag maintain sya ng pressure according to the value stamped on the radiator cap (ie. 1.1 bar or some other value).

Not saying yan yung cause, but it never hurts to check.

Thank you po for explaining it to me sir .. check ko po bukas kung radiator cap nga talaga may deperencya .. last time kasi ng add ako ng distilled water sa radiator, hindi na nka attached yung spring at parang naka detached na yung seal ring or yung ba yung goma ..

happy new year too .. nka hks po muffler ko ..

Feeling ko may pressure coming from the cylinder head. Happened to my FM before.

But same with dr. D, kulang yung story. Whats the condition of the engine?

Is your coolant rusty, oily, or worst case, 'chunky'? If not, just replace the radiator cap for now with the same rating and observe. From the way you described the cap, it's up for replacement anyway.

Change first your radiator cap (always get original or Denso) but there may be a cause for the pressure as aforementioned so have your engine compression tested.
