of course old oil will be noisy. if she had yojin 5w30 oil for the past 12months. coupled with fuel dilution(mazda feature) her old oils viscosity thinned that it will be noisy.

new oil will be quiet for sure. check her oil levels for fuel dilution..if its goes up.

Kahit pa bagong pms un galing mazda, di naman tumatahimik un. Low mileage pa nga un. Sa 24k km naka 6x pms un sa mazda. Last pms july 2018.
*28k km December 2018 pinalitan ko ng amsoil. Same viscosity, 5w30.

Personally di ko type ang shell lubes, magaling lang sa marketing. Tsaka maganda ang services nila sa gas stations

since youre into this quiet quiet non scy. you could look into xado treatments. it can even reduce noise and vibration. there are plenty of Filipinos vouching for this..

Wouldn't oil additives just offset whatever additives thats included in the x brand of oil?

Also, after having different brand of oils I just preferred the oil with better sound dampening qualities since isn't a noisy tappet equals more friction thus more wear?

Anyway from all the oils I've tried here are the results.

Royal purple 5w40 - quiet, smooth sounding
    Pertua 15w50 - very loud
    Petron Trekker 15w40 - loud
    Mobil Delvac1 5w40 - loud
Delo sports 10w30 (current) - quiet, smooth sounding

    Will try Delo400 next.

Mas quiet makina sa delo400 over delo sports 10w30, pero mas madaling iarangkada un delo sports

the oil is there for lubrication, not for dampening noise.
dishonest car sellers would put in heavier oil, to make the worn engine sound quieter.
    my opinion.

My ride is an Isuzu mux rz4e 1.9L LSA AT. On my 1.5k pms, I used the isuzu semi syn multi Z 10w-30. On my 5k pms, Besco 10w-30 multi z.

In my untrained ears they sound the same. Clattering on cold start and starts to settle down after 1-2min of idling. Acceleration feels the same too.

Do you think on my 10k pms Delo 400 MGX is the best oil to use next?

I came from a gasoline car (2002 Honda city) so my hearing tolerance over diesel engines are quite not there yet.
