Uhmmm. The higher the rating, the better the additives used or lets say, the better the oil.

Based sa site (link below), SG is used in 1993 model and older engines.

Baket sg? If you look at the date on the bottle, circa 90s pa yan lol.

Anyways the base oil of older oils are not as good as the api-sl and newer oils.

anong brand ba nang oil yan tinutukoy mo?
    medyo outdated na yang SG,

oil is still oil. kahit lumang rating pa it will lubricate and perform its function,

pero with regards to internal wear in the engine caused by using a lower rated oil hndi natin yan masasagot unless you will tear down the engine and inspect it.

kung ok naman fuel consumption, no power loss, no visible smoke sa exhaust then we can surmise na the engine is still in good condition.

i would advise you to use the minimum rating specified sa manual mo. if you have the budget go one rating higher...
kung pang personal mo na sasakyan yan, use a lower viscosity like 10w40, gas engine ka naman so you don't need a thicker oil at start up.

viscosity difference has no effect on internal wear, only on fuel consumption...

so buy an oil rated correctly for your vehicle, use the lowest available viscosity near your area or favorite store, and choose among those which fits your budget.

pwede naman, any viscosity is ok. but the more viscous you put, the more pumping loss there will be hence more fuel is consumed.
lower viscosity means more fuel savings..
