So far Mobil Delvac 1 is the only oil locally marketed as a diesel/commercial vehicle synth... It's CH-4 rated.

I was browsing at True Value in Shang last week and they had Castrol Synthetic blend (not a full synthetic) for diesels and commercial vehicles...

As for me, i use Delvac MX on my pick-up and Mobil SHC on our gas rides...

Castrol Magnatec! 10W40 Fully Synthetic Oil... Cheaper than Mobil 1 but was able to succesfully replicate the results of the Mobil 1 million mile test. By the way, Castrol is the factory fill oil on BMWs.

No, I dont work for Castrol...just a satisfied customer..

i thought castrol magnatec is not fully synthetic? if it is, then it is the cheapest amongst the fully-synthetic motor oils available in the market :?:

Yes, Magnatec is 100% synthetic oil, not like semi-synthetic oil which is more like 10-30% synthetic.

One of the other nice things about Magnatec is that its supposed to provide engine protection when the engine is just starting (while the oil is not yet circulating inside the engine). It does this because its supposed to have some "magnetic" properties kaya a film of oil remains on the engine's parts in the morning even when the engine is switched off overnight.

Yung mga friends ko whom I've convinced to try it out have been happy with it. You'll immediately notice how quiet your engine runs Dagdag mo pa yung fuel economy benefits and longer oil replacement benefits plus a little extra increase in horsepower due to lower engine friction and it all starts to make practical sense

tanong lang po... kasi.. i was searching for engine oil before.... me nakapagsabi kasi sa akin na yung Castrol Magnatec is not fully synthetic... so thats why i browse the website www.castrol.com and hindi talaga nakalagy doon na 100% fully synthetic siya tanong ko lang kay hagiber kung saan niya nakuha yung info na 100%fully synth yung magnatec wala rin naman sa label nung oil case.... and walang Magantec na oil sa US... according to this site.. http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/additives.html pero.. castrol is good pero hindi siya fully synth.. yun lang sa pagkakaalam ko..

    cheers,

    marwen

Ang pagkakaalam ko rin hindi siya (Magnatec) fully-synthetic. That's not to say hindi siya maganda though.

Sana lang meron nagbebenta locally ng Castrol RS 10W/60.
