i have a cast iron block that i wanted to to get honed to expose virgin surface for new rings to wear on.

no overbore needed. i'm pretty sure that there is no ridge formation on the upper end of the block.

does anybody have an idea by how much increase in diameter does a hone do? - just a hone to break the glaze. just a ballpark figure will do....
