What is a Thermo Time Switch

Thanks for this... na describe kasi nya yung difference ng idling pag on ng aircon. Can't recall the proper name but sa street/autosupply name nung switch na nag engage ng fan ng auxillary when the aircon is off is also called thermoswitch

Any idea whats the proper name for the switch I described? sa box din kasi yun ang label

Medyo nag-mix na kasi ang topic dito sa thread na ito sir eh.... Yun kasing engine cooling sytem and cabin airconditioning system are two independent system. Both have temperature sensors for its system, kaya bali dalawa yung temperatue switch na napag uusapan dito. Yes, kapag nag-automatic ON ang temperature switch ng cabin AC ay dito magtataas ng idle speed ang makina and vice versa ...

^ agree on that point bro... medyo nag mix up nga. Kaya rin naman ganyan nabanggit ko I check din nya kasi hindi ka dapat nag overheat pag patay ang AC. Mamamatay lang yung mga aux fan but when it reaches a certain temp bigla mag on pareho yun.

Different scenario if pag on mo agad AC then tsaka mag engage agad yung mga aux fan.

Anyways sana nagpa cleaning na sya muna ng throttle body and tune up para at least ma isolate ulit kung ganun pa rin problem.

Pacheck mo na thermos at yung palinis nang TB kung hindi pa nagagawa. Ganya din sa RAV4 nang insan ko, mataas lagi idle. Nung na-tune-up, back to normal na siya. Taas RPM kapag on AC tapos baba kapag nag-switch off muna AC kasi malamig na.

Matakaw sa fuel yan at need na talaga ipa-check bro.

Check thermos kaya hindi nagswitch off ang Aux fan and hindi nakabukas aux fan kung hindi bukas ang aircon.

Clean TB for idle.

you really need diagnostic scanning para malaman mo kung bakit hindi umaandar ang fan and the reason bakit mataas ang idling speed mo. cleaning the throttle body ay baka lalo pa maloko idling mo (throttle motor yan focus).

For some systems it is bad to clean the throttle body since the PCM already made adjustments through adaptive memory( block learn) cleaning it requires relearning process. The scan tool is only as good as the technician or the idiot behind it

tama si sir jick, madami na ako na encounter na mga shops na may scanners pero di naman alam gamitin basa lang ng dtc sabay bitay sa parts na na mention sa dtc pag hindi nakorek kamot ulo na. sabay tawag saklolo he he. kaya payo lang magtanong tanong muna sa tech kung he understands the system. pag naramdaman mo na binobola ka lang iwas na at malamang mag aksaya ka lang ng parts.

For Toyota cars then casa. Don't have the time to do it myself cleaning the throttle body eh at saka pag sa casa may peace of mind na ko lalo na sa under the hood ang pinapa service ko.
