4G63 vs 6A12 Engines

Mga tiskoteers, my friend has a Galant with a 4G63 enigne, I have a V6 6A12 Galant, he is inviting me to do a mile sprint to check out yung performance nung engine nya since kakabili nya lang, what can you say? In the long run, which is more powerful his engine or mind?

4G63 DOHC (GTi) 140hp ata
6A12 DOHC 160hp ata

i think the V6 should win the battle coz it definitely has more torque than the 4-banger 4G63

Yup, don't do it on a public road. Race on a real racetrack. Better yet, don't race with each other at all, malayo pa sa disgrasya.

Playing devil's advocate...

Malalaman lang natin 'yan kung magkakasubukan kayo, but with some sort of safety note, you can do it one at a time. He drives, you as a passenger and a timer on his car, then same setup in your car... then swap kayo kaw naman driver, siya timer... this way it will somehow eliminates variation and driving style factor. Where? Hmmm, that I don't know.

Stock, I'd take the V6. Off the line, that extra torque and power will help.

OT
But, if you're going to do any engine modding, I'd go for the 4G63. the 4G63 is a legend because of its mod capability like up to 500hp or something with the appropriate mod like turbos, intercoolers, etc.

The 4G63 turbo of my 1991 Plymouth Laser makes a default 190hp. But, I had since bumped it up to 281. Others have done more powerful mods with 400hp and above.
