Normal lang ba talaga sa inyo ang may tagas ng oil on any part of the engine? Ako kasi, I make it a point na malinis ang engine bay ko and free from leaks. Kasi mukhang hindi na maiiwasan considering that my truck is already 8yrs old.

The leak is found underneath, dun sa may pinagkakabitan nung oil pan sa makina? Anyone encountered this already? What do I need to do?

Another problem is my oil sending unit...kapapalit ko lang, namamasa nanaman ng langis

Kung nagpapawis lang, pabayaan mo na muna. Don't worry about these things too much.

    You should see my engine...

    djerms,

parehas tayo ng problem and fortunately (and hopefully) nakita din kung saan galing tulo ko.

you should see my parking, grabe, parang nagla-lawa na sa dami ng tulo.

anyways, through the recommendation of a friend, i brought my gen1 pajero sa nodalo's at sucat.

the mechanic initially diagnosed that there's a leak in the oil pan and the crankshaft oil seal. they then advised me to have an engine underwash (P50 only shell infront of their shop) first and brought it back to them.

the verdict: oil leak coming from the oil pressure sending unit (P730 from a nearby auto supply) and the breather hose are causing the oil to scatter/ spread under the engine.

they replaced the oil pressure sending unit (i had the big bulb type), replaced the oil breather hose with a longer one.

i'm still praying that the leak would not come back.

    Bogart,

    Otep,
Nagpapawis din ba yung oil pan mo? Yung sa akin naman traces lang ng oil where the oil pan is bolted sa makina.

I recently had my oil changed and iniisip ko na baka naman tinulan lang pagkatanggal nung oil filter. pinunasan ko last night and after parking this morning I checked again, so far tuyo pa rin naman.

Hindi kaya yung half moon? Ah oo nga pala sa ilalim nga pala. :D

Hindi kaya yun yung kapag nag-change oil ka eh yung natuluan, nadaluyan ng oil or something like that.

    Frank,
Sana nga natulutan lang. Tinitingnan kong mabuti last night ala CSI.
