Best way I think would be to invest in a voltmeter. If a battery can't crank out at least 13V of juice (correct me if I'm wrong), it's about time you get a new one. Batteries should usually provide 14.4V of push if I'm not mistaken.

Or you could simply buy a new one every two years or so. Heat is supposedly a natural battery-killer.

if moolah is not a problem to you, then you can do so every two years.
but for people like me who scrimp on food everyday, i usually wait for it to die down on me. there are symptoms which tell you of the impending death of your battery.

and yes, try to invest in a voltimeter.

Some of the Honda Club Phils' audio gurus have a digital voltmeter that plugs into the 12V cigarette lighter/power socket in the dashboard. Voltage is more critical to these people than most because they power loud audio systems.

I don't know where you can get those (Banawe is your best bet I think) but they say it'll cost not more than PhP500. I'll ask.

From experience, an indication that the battery is dying is a flickering sound when starting the engine. When this happens have your battery replaced ASAP

ano po ba maganda, maintenance free or ung magtutubig ka pa? Mas mahal po kz ung maintenance free so naisip ko kumuha ng low maintenance unless may great difference sila.

Ok lang po ba low maintenance or should i get maintenance free? pls. help

budget wise, ok lang po ba maintenance batt kunin ko instead of maintenance free? Tatagal din po ung maintenance batt?

Me nkapagsabi na mas tumatagal pa daw ung maintenance compared sa maintenance free... I just don't know kung totoo.

    Appreciate ur insights about this.

    Thanks po...
