GUD DAY! What do we call sa switch na kpag in-open ung door the inside light will turn ON and if u close the door ay magtu-turn OFF nman ung inside light(eto ung nakakabit sa may gilid ng body car s tapat ng driver set sa advnture 03, sometimes nman sa tbi ng kinakabitan ng mga pinto sa other cars) ,Ung sa car ko kc ay may problem sometimes kpag binubuksan ko ung door ay ayaw mag ON ng inside light, kung diko pa gagalawin ung black switch n un ay hindi pa gagana, sa may drivers side lang nman(front and 2nd row door), so it means parang nk CLOSE p din ung DOOR , at ang tendency tuloy ay nag a-ARM ung alarma khit nk open ung mga door.
Ano kaya ang paraan pra umayos ulit un.
tnx po sa mga magrereply.

Door panel switch. Spray a WD40 on it and press it back and forth, the cause is, its sticking. The switch is tied into sensor that keeps you from locking your keys in the car.

It's an easy fix. One of your door jamb switches is bad or maybe corroded. Try also to spray w/ WD 40 or you can remove the switch to inspect. There is a little screw next to it remove that screw using philip screw driver then slide it out the switch. It's a little button similar to pen. They are usually very cheap.

arniel,
that switch is normally called a courtesy door light switch(normally closed to ground, opened with door closed). it is sometimes installed on the A pillar(hinge side of the door) or the B pillar(the latch side of the door). they are usually watertight until the car gets older and the rubber boot covering it breaks down from oxidation and the switch is exposed to the elements which corrodes the spring and the contacts as this is a pin type switch. the component is easy to repair if you can'''''''t find a replacement. it usually is that the spring broke, tired, or is compressed and retained the compressed length. the spring can by the way, be replaced carefully and restore it to its original virgin status. if not, switch the switch with the other side
