Yung Oriental ko namatay 2 weeks ago, ayaw na magstart biglaan... although the past few weeks medyo hard starting sya... The batt was around 4 years old ata hehe naka flex na yung half ng battery cover :P

Bought a mercury low-maint 3SM for 1700 only, sulit nadin, pangstart lang naman eh... Couldn't afford the EuroDIN size batts.

looks like it's time to replace your battery. average life span of MF batteries are around 1-1.5 years lang eh.

what you can do to check if it really is your battery is to install the battery from a 2nd car. if it starts with no problems, then you know what you have to do

One: if you disconnect the battery while the motor is already running, doesn't it just tell you that the alternator is working? The battery is not used when the motor is already running. Instead it is being charged.

Two: not so sure when the battery lamp lights up. Doesn't it light up if the alternator is not working, meaning the battery is used to run the electrical stuff like the radio, horn, lights, wiper, fire the plugs, etc?
