    Greetings Tsikoteers!!
    It’s been a while that I’ve posted a Thread here. I just really need some inputs from all you experts out there. Medyo mahaba yung kwento, so I hope you’ll bear with me.
    So here’s the info, before magkaproblem yung car. Gamit ko sya nung Friday, then parked it late night na. Then hindi sya nagamit for 3 straight days, exposed sa non-stop rain nung weekends (sa kalsada lang kasi parking). Hindi naman nabaha, basang basa lang sa ulan. Lagi naman syang ganun pag nag-uulan.
    Now, nasa Talyer car ko (a 96 Toyota Corolla Gli Bigbody, 4A-FE Engine), problem is it won’t start. May cranking/Redondo naman, hindi lang magtuloy yung andar ng makina. I even changed the battery (Enduro 2sm) and spark plugs (all 4 of them) as part of isolation. Car still won’t start. Also verified that all Fuses are OK, may sirit naman yung gasoline papuntang engine,and there’s current supply going sa distributor. One thing noticeable though is that hindi umiilaw yung “Check Engine” light sa console whenever key is turned ON.
    Upon continuous isolation by a mechanic, here’s the findings:
    1.) “Check Engine” indicator won’t lit when key is turned ON. Try to start the car on this situation, Car won’t start.
    2.) After may sundutin dun sa main power line that supplies the distributor(using a probe connected sa positive ng battery, and key is turned ON), “Check Engine” indicator will lit. Try to start the car on this situation, Car will Start!
    3.) Kaso pag pinatay mo yung makina, then try to turn the key ON uli, wala na namang ilaw yung “Check Engine” indicator. Hindi uli mag iistart yung car, though may Redondo/cranking.
    4.) So, sundut uli dun sa main power line, as if sya yung magti-trigger para umilaw yung “Check Engine” indicator. Once nakailaw na yung “Check Engine”, mag iistart uli yung car.
    So after some grueling hours of isolation, a repetitive1.) sundot sa main line,2.)iilaw yung “Check Engine”,then maiistart yung car,3.) Pag pinatay yung makina, then turn ON the key, wala uling “Check Engine”. Car will not start again.
    Here’s the kicker. Yung Computer Box na nung auto ang napupuntiryang culprit. So, we’ll bring the computer box sa Banawe tomorrow for possible repair.
    So there po, yan po status ng car ko now. Are the isolations OK? Did we miss something? Tama po ba pinatutunguhan namin for the resolution ng problem? Hope to here from you friends…

    Try to check nung fuse box sa engine compartment.Tanggalin ung fuse ng EFI/MAIN sa fusebox.Baka kse lumuwag ung kabitan ng fuse.Linisin lng ng cutter ung terminal.kabitan ng bagong fuse(20A).Pls inform me,kung mali diagnosis ko.
    Regarding sa ECU(computer box).May diagnostic trouble code ang car mo para malaman kung ano ang sira.short mo lng ang E1/TE1 sa connector ng diagnosis(engine compartment).Malaman kagad kung cra ang ECU.

    korek! nasabi nya na nag start yung engine nya,..tapos pinatay nya,..ayaw na ulit mag start,..kasi hinde umiilaw ang check engine,..malamang sa fuse box yan or merong maluwag na wiring,..papuntang computer box try to check your fuse box malamang may maluwag na jan,.wag ka muna sa computer box mag focus kasi hinde basta basta nasisira ang computer box

    sir happy new year po... ako lancer matic transmission naman glxi 96.. pareho po kamo ng problem.. ang pinag kaiba lang.. hindi naman namamatay ang check engine ko.. pag namatay dun naman sya mag start.. pero minsan naka ilaw lang sya ng matagal kaya di mag start.. hope for your reply tnx

    kung sira comp box hindi na aandar yan..or mag check engine yan..

    try to check fuse or relay...

    same problem po ako ngayon sa corolla gli

    please update kung ano nging solution sa problem.

    nacheck ko na din down to "no check engine sa dash no start"

    san po yun "sinusundot sa main power line" Thanks in advance

    Check muna mga fuse kung may busted na. Kung okay mga fuse ay possible sira na contacts ng Ignition Switch. Spray ng contact cleaner ang mga contacts at connector ng Ignition switch. Pero kung di ka marunong mag DIY ay palit kaagad ng Ignition SWitch.

    The same problem po ito ng car ko.Pero yung sakin po hindi pa po na try na sundutin yung main power line nya kaya hanggang ngayon po di pa nagstart. Pina check ko po sa mekaniko sabi niya sa electrical daw. Tapos pinacheck ko sa auto shop sabi ng una sa ignition coil daw at igniter (module). Tapos po pagka umaga sabi na naman nya sa computer box po kc pwede naman daw yung distributor nya. Di rin po nagdidisplay yung check engine sa indicator nya, possible po ba na sa computer box talaga sira nya o meron pa ibang dahilan kung bakit di sya nagsstart?

    update regarding this case.na solutionan ba?anong diagnosist bakit ngka ganun?anong solution ginamit.salamat

Possible Computer Box Problem..Help anyone?
