Overcharged Battery/on and off light indicator

I would like to ask about the problem i'm having with my Galant 98 VR V6. The battery indicator lits up whenever I stepped on the gas but went off otherwise. I had it checked pero kakalito iba-iba sinasabi mechanic, some says overcharged daw batt..some says, need to replace battery and alternator.

Ano po kaya problema car ko? what causes battery overcharging...is it the alternator?

Same thing happend to me, nung nag pa engine wash ako. nag oovercharge ung batt, then nawawala pag mag step ka sa gas. sabi nila palitan agad alternator. so to make sure dinala ko sa shell service center in pque. sabi nila IC ang papalitan. im not sure if meron nun sa VR. 2k w/ labor then ok na. sabi nila nabasa daw ung IC. pa check mo muna. maybe hindi sa battery.

If during revving umiilaw ang battery indicator it means na didischarged ang battery mo, kaya ng ito umiilaw during starting at mamamatay na during engine running, ibig sabihin hindi kumakarga ang alternator during engine accelarating pwedeng sira na ang ic regulator or mahina na nang bigay ang alternator, better pa check mo ang alternator baka maliit na ang carbon brush nito, pwede mong pa check ang charging ng alternator sa battery shop.

The electrician can do a quick test for the charging system of your vehicle. Yes the alternator can cause battery overcharging. But, nobody can tell which components of alternator are faulty until its not been taken out from the vehicle and dismantled. Let me say the voltage regulator was defective but I did not figure out that the stator and rectifier was defective too and shorted so it is possible that the problem will still exist.
That's why they said the battery and alternator are need to be changed because it is the quick checked and diagnosed, but remember its too expensive when replacing both.

mga sir OT lang: for the past few weeks, medyo hard starting ang car ko every start of the day may it be umaga or hapon or gabi basta pag first time ko sya start sa particular na day eh hirap pero after nun mastart, the rest of the day kahit patay sindi eh ok na hindi na hard start, kaso yesterday eh nagtaka ako ganon pa din sana kaso this time wala nang redondo ang sabi na lang eh "click" evrytime try ko i-start... ok naman busina hindi naman humina, yun kasi basehan ko kung malakas pa battery or hindi na... sa tingin nyo guys palitin na ang battery ko??? medyo matagal na din kasi around 2 years na rin? salamat!

check the charging... if not it could be the voltage reg, etc inside the alternator.
