something like date of manufacture should be readily read-able in the battery's case and/or stickers and/or documents.

Locate the dot matrix stamp on your car battery. There should be one. It's an alphanumeric code. I bought the same battery last year.

Here's how to decode your AC Delco battery's date stamp.

Ex. KH5I24 - The third character (number) refers to the year of manufacture, 5 is 2015. 4th character (letter) corresponds to the month, I is September. The last 2 characters (numbers) corresponds to the day. In this example, KH5I24 was manufactured in September 24, 2015.

I am not entirely sure what the first two letters stand for. Best guess is the factory code where the battery was manufactured.

    Hth. Cheers!

I've read somewhere that oftentimes the letter "I" is not used. Reason for skipping to next letter "J"; letter I can often be misread as the number 1. I can be mistaken though 😩
