My battery is Motolite Gold Maintenance Free. When i had it charged sa shop, sabi ng mechanic ok pa raw ang battery kaya pinakargahan niya. Then I had it back to my van and it started pero medyo hirap na. The whole time, every start ko is hirap talaga. And i noticed na kapag iniiwan ko sya, it discharges itself. I have proven it coz i once had it recharged and left it na hindi nakakabit sa van, after 24 hours nung kinabit ko na sya, ayaw na magstart. I also borrowed someone else's battery and ok na starting ng van. Question ko po, pwede pa kaya ipaayos ang battery instead of buying a new one?

Better replace it with brand new.

I agree with replacing it. No warranty na kasi yan pag na repair.

ala pa kase kong budget for a new battery and i need to use the van. im just thinking that it would be a lot cheaper to repair than to replace.

Then ipa-repair mo muna and pray na hindi bumigay kaagad.

you must know that ONE SHOULDN'T THROW AWAY OLD BATTERIES.

contrary to popular belief, lead-acid batteries are almost 100% recyclable. so even though they're chock-full of heavy metals, they're not dangerous to the environment if managed properly. usually the battery is "re-plated" parang ino-overhaul yung plates sa loob, tapos good as new na yun.

why don't you go to motolite accredited dealer? (like this big one along pasong tamo.. dun ako nagpa-RMA) they might have a record of that battery, if it's 15 months old or less they should replace it kahit wala ka nang resibo.

actually, pina-recharged ko sya ng isang araw then i left it sa shop for another day coz i didnt have the time to pick it up. The next morning, i got it back and when i started the van, at first ignition medyo malakas pa pero di parin nag start, the succeeding ignitions is sobrang mahina na compared to the first one, parang hinigop bigla ang power ng battery

im thinking of buying the classic one of Motolite, yung low maintenance, merong tag P1450 pero 6months warranty lang. i just worry na baka hindi nya kayanin ang requirements ng van ko. my current battery is 2SMF. and i also worry about i heard na modus ng mga battery dealers with regards to warranty. sabi ng friend ko, when they found out na nasira ang battery mo, they'll accuse your alternator na naka cause daw ng sira so they wont replace it

by the way, hayun iniwan ko nalang ang van na nakatiwawang for 3 weeks already. aandar pa kaya yun sa tulak para mapa-check ko kung grounded nga ba ang sasakyan or its just the battery

Malalaman ng Motolite agencies kung kelan date ng manufacture ng batteries basing it from the serial numbers stamped above it. Ask them when it was made. Kung less than 18months may trade-in value pa yan. Kung di na, Php100 na lang value nyan, then use it to buy conventional batteries which you can have it repaired when the plates are damaged.

Van ba kamo? Diesel engine? Afaik, 3SM ang requirements to crank it up. Except for smaller older models like Toyota's 2C which can be cranked by 2SMFs. Kung nasabayan pa yan ng faulty alternator na hindi nakakargan ang battery and supplying enough current for your ride while engine is running.

the solution is to go to one of motolite's authorized distributors. i bought a battery from some place in evangelista. nung nasira siya with 1 month left on the warranty, bumalik ako dun. wala na yung place (nagsara na). so i went to an authorized distributor at pinalitan nila. walang hassle. i just paid 100 petot as tip to the guy who replaced the battery.

Nadidischarged na battery, pwede pa kayang ayusin?
