yung pag start ng kotse na walang susi... may tinatali lang na set of wires para mastart yung auto... parang sa mga car thieves sa mga sine

sa old cars, the big gauge #10 na red with white stripe (bale red-white) is the positive going to the starter solenoid switch. the black-white goes to the ignition coil. so connect the black-white to the ground (normally black) and this is like turning the key to ON. then scratch mo yun red-white sa ground (or any metal part ng car) and that turns the starter.

di pa gagana yung mga accessories. kung efi kotse, dapat hot-wire mo din efi nya.

pero sa mga new cars with computers at may microchip un key hindi gagana yan (like mitsubishi, may imbedded chip dun sa key). kasi the computer shuts down everything and turns on the alarm. it will entail more hot-wiring under the hood. you have to hot wire the starter, electronic ignition and efi as these are all computer controlled.

kaya pag na-carnap kotse nyo at bago yan at sabi ng witness e wala pa 1 minute yun pag-carnap nila, inside job yan sa casa at alam nila yun code ng keys ninyo.

may thread dati sa kotse, ingat sa diamond motors dyan sa bandang makati at highest incidence of carnapping dun, bagong kuha lang sa casa yun vehicle within 1-2 weeks carnapped na. yun l300 ng pinsan ko dun galing, 1 week pa lang carnap na. bumaba lang yung carnapper sa pick-up, bukas yung pinto with a key, start, alis. all within 10 seconds. magawa ba yan kung walang tamang keys yun carnapper?

    cheers!

Not all 'new' cars have the microchip. The ones with 'immobilizers' are the ones with microchip. but L300 don't have it. You can look at the key itself if it houses a chip so you'll know.

all car manufacturers only use a small set of keys, so it's quite easy to go out and collect all of them. we know this for a fact, because when my lancer was new, our driver mistook a similar car for it and was able to open and start it using our keys. napansin lang nya na mali kasi pag tingin nya sa loob maraming iba na gamit.

all a carnapper needs now is to have a key duplicator in cahoots, then collect all possible key combinations for a particular car. he'd have for instance, a honda keyring with all the keys that honda uses on their civics, a mitsubishi keyring with all the lancer keys, etc.

kaya kailangan mo talaga ng additional anti-theft devices sa kotse like steering lock, clutch-pedal lock, venomous cobra, etc
