    I recently noticed my car (galant) having this unusual erratic idling. Usually ay 800 rpm lang sya pero ngayon ay parang erratic, minsan ay bumaba sa 500 rpm and then in less than a second ay 800 or 600 or 700(off ang acu). Parang may pumuputok na kung ano. However, ok naman sya kapag umaandar na on the road. Di ba dapat ay nagbabago lang ang idling kapag nag-on na ang compressor? Timing belt was recently replaced. Hi-tension wires kaya?

    Try installing your old OEm wires and if the problem is resolved then it's the new wires.

    Also try checking your Servo motor. Yun yung idle control sensor ng throttle mo. Ano bang makina ? 4g??

    there is a big chance that your hi-tension wires have become bad. Happened to me twice.

    per your premise, hindi outright na cable ang problem. maaari ring misfiring ang isa or more sa spark plugs. The best thing you can do, is have your engine tuned up para makita what exactly causes your problem.

    had this problem before, was caused by the distributor cap. Kasi tumatama yung water pipe (from radiator) sa distributor cap and dahil mainit, in time nabutas yung cap. Ayun, nagka-leak yung ignition. Palit lang ng cap and OK na.

    ok, kung kapapalit lang ng spark plugs, check mo pa din. kasi baka fouled na. take note na ang fouling is not due to the spark plugs but rather on the condition of the intake/exhaust valves and piston rings. so kung may tagas ng langis papuntang cylinder, sigurado, puno ng carbon yung tip ng spark plugs. OR, baka loose lang pagka-connect ng hi-tension wires mo.

    nangyari din sa akin yung palyadong andar ng engine, at ang cause ay due to the clogged carb primary fuel jet. nilinis ko lang, ok na uli.

    if you want to isolate hi-tension wire aspect, tanggalin mo yung HT wire ng #1 cylinder at ilapit mo (huwag idikit) sa cyl head or any basta naka-connect sa batt ground. Have somebody to crank the engine. Dapat may makita kang spark between the HT wire and the ground. gawin mo ito sa iba pang HT wires, one at a time.
