November 12th, 2012 08:48 AM #3Good Day!
Im from sta rosa-binan area as well maam. Had the same problem with park lights last week. 15 pesos lang gastos ko. Blown blade fuse. Kindly check nalang on the driver side kick panel. For manual windows, baka yung regulator or gear hindi aligned or kelangan ng grease. Pabuksan nyo door panel para ma-check. Yung sticker sa windshield, decal po yun. Sa SM meron po nun. Change oil po, generally recommended 5k kms or 3 months. Sa shop po, di ako makapag recommend kasi ako DIY po ako sa maintenance. Since you have a lancer, much better po sali kayo sa mymitsuphils. Mas madami kayo matututunan na vehicle specific. They have a recommended shop at sucat kung kelangan mo talaga magpagawa.

d) wala akong alam dyan sa sta. rosa eh, pero you can bring it to alabang area, sa may minerva tire, filinvest.

sama mo na din dun sa minverva. they can change the oil. every 5k kms ang oil change interval on the assumption na regular oil lang.
other things to check:
a) suspension parts
b) MAF cleaning and tune-up (kung EFI yung oto mo).
c) aircon cleaning.
d) radiator check
e) transmission oil change.

November 24th, 2012 12:30 AM #8Hi I also have Mitsubishi Lancer 1997 model 1.3 carb type as my 1st car just bought almost 1yr ago.
They say the best way to compute your car fuel consumption is to have
1st go on near empty (fuel meter * the red line) then have it full tank; reset your trip meter to zero. NOTE the total amount of liters it takes to full tank from red line.
2nd refuel only when it goes back to the red line. Then dived the total number of km it takes from full to red line w/ the number of liters you noted it takes to full tank from red line.
3rd repeat for 2nd time.
Costly nga lng yan ang ginawa ko sakin is from the red line I refilled 10liters exactly, waited until it reaches the red line then divide the total distance by 10.
I tried both methods & the results are pretty much the same.
If your only getting around 5-7 km me kalakasan nga. Normally papacheck jan is:
1. Ignition timing, spark plug, airfilter
2. Change oil & change filter is a must periodic maintenance of every auto. Me factor din ung oil viscosity being used.
3. Suspension malaki din factor sa fuel efficiency pa check mu din ff:
a. Shock absorber
b. Bushings
c. Balljoint
e. Tierod duno the correct spelling sorry
f. Camber.
Nung na repair mga yan sakin mejo ngimprove fc ng car ko. From 6-7 naging 8-9. Peru un nga lng malakas pa din.
Mejo mekalakasan nga konsumo nya at most I can only get 8-9 km/l todo tipid na un (been following all economy tips & already have my car engine checked, tuned up, suspension repaired - shocks, bushing, camber, Etc).Last edited by neyzon; November 24th, 2012 at 12:45 AM. Reason: Additional info
