help! malfunctioning hand brake indicator light

mga fellow tsikoteers, may problema ako sa 95 lancer itlog namin. umiilaw pa rin kasi ang indicator light ng hand brake namin kahit naka-disengage na ang hand brake. in other words, the light is still on even when the car is already running. weird nga talaga. ano kaya naging problem? by the way, june 2006 pa motolite battery ko. hindi ko alam kung may relation ang old battery sa dysfunctional display. wala kasi ako masyadong alam as regards electrical matters. thanks for the inputs.

In addition to what bambino posted...did you check you brake linings?...The light on your dashboard is also a warning to you to have your brake pads and shoes replaced...good luck.

Kadalasan low brake fluid level. Which could be due to worn brake pads and/or brake shoes.
