I recently had problems with my AC...the compressor wouldn't kick in. The shop traced the problem to the fuse/relay box under the hood. The relays and fuses were all good...but apparently, the problem was on the box assembly itself. They tested the relay socket for the compressor and found no power. All other sockets were functioning.

    1. Has anyone encountered this problem before?
    2. Can the problem be other than just the relay box?
    3. If it's indeed the fuse/relay box assembly, can the circuitry be repaired?
    3. If not, where can I buy this?
    4. Are these available in surplus shops?

My car is a Honda Civic Lxi '97. Thanks in advance for any information you could share with me.

does the shop do electrical and A/C as well?

if not they're gonna have trouble working on your car .you need a shop that is specializing with A/C and electrical troubles.

some cases they need scanner to view the data stream , to accurately pinpoint the trouble .

about your fusebox you don't have to replace it , they have to do a pinpoint diagnostics not only suspecting that there's something's going on inside that.

    then repair it

wiring diagram is what it's needed to properly fix the problem you have

    Thanks Bambino.

Nope. they just do ACs and in fact advised me to take it to an electrical shop.

Can anyone recommend a good AC/Electrical shop that can handle this type of problems? Preferably Mandaluyong...but Pasig, Makati or QC is fine too.

    Tnx.

Try mo yung test na to...

Tanggalin mo yung connector ng A/C clutch tapos lagyan mo ng direct supply galing battery yung clutch, tingnan mo kung mag eengage or may maririnig ka na clicking sound sa clutch. pag nag engage yung clutch ibig sabihin okey.

    next step...

balik mo yung connector ng A/C clutch tapos start the engine and aircon ON.
