June 29th, 2009 10:49 PM #1Hi All,
Bumili ako last 2 months ago ng new motolite battery then now all of a sudden biglang na-discharge as in at na kinailangan ko pang ipa jump-start sa isang taxi. As far as I know wala akong naiwan na bukas (aircon etc). Do I need to call Motolite para macheck nila yung battery ko? May ibig sabihin ba eto biglang pakakadischarge meeting defective battery?

June 30th, 2009 12:21 AM #4before messing around with your car's alternator/ electricals, pa-check mo na lang muna yung battery mo. Are you still experiencing hard start-ups? Dalhin mo na lang dun sa binilhan mo, may mga tester naman sila doon to properly diagnose your issue.

June 30th, 2009 10:46 AM #5Ganun din ang car ko (Toyota Corolla 97 GLI A/T), nagpalit kami ng battery last October 2008 at motolite na puti ang pinalagay, then last month lang na discharge na at need na namin pa jump start at madalas na. Pinacheck ko yung alternator, at no load sia yung voltage reading is 12 at kung may load (AC,ilaw at car sterio) nasa 11.6 na lang at kahit mag hi rev ako ganun pa din. So pinapalitan ko yung alternator ng surplus yun, at no load nasa 13.8 and at full load nsa 13.

Usually ba magkano ang alternator both OEM and surplas? So far di naman ako nahirapan mag-start pero syempre gusto ko may peace of mind ako yun nga lang pagiipunan ko pa panggawa ko nito tsk tsk. Anyway thanks sa lahat ng sumagot sa thread na eto. more power to tsikot!

pwede naman yata ipagawa ang alternator. at least you can save a certain amount if it's repairable. but if all else fails, dun ka na bumili ng brand new alternator.

When they tested the no load voltage, is the engine running?
if the engine is not running, one of the cells of the battery might be dead.
With the engine running, the voltage should be more than 12 volts, better if more than 13 volts
