August 24th, 2016 01:00 AM #1Even if my handbrake is down ir not in use the handbrake light indicator in dashboard will appear from time to time. What could be the problem? Corolla 1997 1.6 gli here

The switch that detects if the handbrake is up (on) or down (off) is now defective... or worn out
It is located near the base of the handbrake.
Have it checked.

Pinaka obvious na unang gawin is check the fluid level. Then go from there.
