Tried AC Delco MF, lasted 3 yrs on a car that would run only once a month. Brought it to battery doctors to see if they could revive it (cost about P350)- it's still working well after 7months since they treated it! I keep it charged with a battery tender/charger when it's not in use.

Battery doctors' said Outlast was the better locally made battery.

Delkor 18 months. After 1.5 years on my 2.5tdic, engine cranks but doesn't start up during cold engine starts. Transferred the same battery to my fuego. Fuego starts up, no problem. Lasted 4 years and just recently conked out. My point is that the kind of engine also has an effect on the battery. Obviously, mitsu indirect injection diesels that still uses glow plugs require more battery power than the isuzu's direct injection diesels.

Sound setup is similar, with subs and ampli, headlights also upgraded with both. The fuego has alarm, the paj don't have. So for me its more on the engine's requirements.

Previously tried motolite's MF, doesn't last as long. The problem is that where I am, na phase out ng supplier ang Delkor, they now promote another brand called KOBA. Ito naman ang nakakabit sa fuego ko.

So, what is the best battery you guys recommend?

Jackaroo, pa-summarize na lang ang lahat ng comments namin so you can come up with the final answer to your question. I want to have an answer to this also kasi, I want a battery that lasts.

well... based from the posts most of the people here use motolite batteries. plus it is also one way of supporting filipino-made products.

delkor ka na, our company's fleet uses a lot of delkor. On the average, over 2 years ang life span, with very few units that requested for a replacement below 2 years. We did make a claim on 2 units within the 18 month warranty. Maski 17 months, they will replace in full, unlike with motolite/oriental (same lang ang gumagawa niyan), prorated ang warranty nila.

different from ac delco. Cheaper siya than ac delco. We are based Cebu kasi, don't know if meron yan sa Manila. Maski sa mga 4w and 6w service and delivery vehicles namin, ginawa ko na ring MF, kasi with the low maintenance or the conventional batteries, di marunong mag take care yung mga drivers as much as we wanted to. Net result, at least 4 months improvement in average battery life.

sori, won't be able to answer u on that kasi phased out na ng supplier. They used to carry delkor 15 months and 18 months warranty. Infact, maski yung replacement ng delkor, out of stock na rin, don't know if they will have stock pa.

oulast battery last for 4 years on my civic. i purchased the esi on 94 with outlast battery and change it on 98, then again on 2002. it is ok up to now. based on the cycle, 2006 pa palit ko(hopefully, hehehehe). it is philippine made. motolite low maintenance(?) on my trooper lasted for more than 1 year. ngayon, 1 year and 1 mos na outlast sa trooper ko(4jg2). nagandahan lang ako sa performance sa civic ng outlast kaya ko sya subok sa trooper. a good friend of mine works at motolite at sinasabi ko sa kanya ito, well sabi nya tyempo tyempo raw yan. btw, my esi have RF 200ix and 4ch(forgot the model) as a setup.

Konting ingat sa mga batteries niyo guys, regardless of brand.

Recently a friend of mine had his car spontaneously burst into flames while it was parked at the office. Nagkagulo talaga yung mga security guards, akala nila car bomb. Napatay nila eventually yung apoy, but the car, a Daihatsu Feroza, was already declared undriveable due to the extent of the damage. Upon investigation, lumalabas na hindi na-replace yung battery ever since nabili yung sasakyan, kaya pinagmulan ng apoy.

my previous battery lasted for 3 years to the day! it was a Super Power brand battery, discontinued na daw un e. pero ung replacement na kinuha ko, according to the shop, is made by the same manufacturer, oriental yata, and its the replacement for super power. di ko lang ma recall now kung ano exact brand. pero may warranty sya ng 24 months.
