Best to have it checked by an electrician, water could've seeped in and damage some parts later.

Pero its still not a sure way of knowing since hindi din yon iilaw as long as may meron ka pang small charging capacity.

Its either meron or wala lang. Malaman mo is lagyan mo ng tester ang battery mo, then start, pag tumaas , value should be 13.8 to 14.5.

alternators are generally built to last. many will outlive the engine..
they get wet a lot more often than you can imagine.
just drive your vehicle and don't think about it. the alternator will tell you when it needs servicing.

pag okay naman alternator at nag chcharge wag palitan. normally ung bearing or pulley naman bibigay and you will hear unusual noise sa engine hood mo.

Brushes and sliprings lang ang exposed sa electrical part. Regulator at exciter diodes ay sealed, so not unless you operated the alternator submerged for a long time, you have nothing to worry. It will take longer to short-circuit a low voltage supply while submerged. Try mo lubog battery sa tubig, pag ahon mo may kuryente pa rin. Ang masisira lang incase ay bearings kung medyo wala na grease that serves as water insulation. Pulleys have bearings.

a mechanic advice me to have the alternator and starter check and clean. he told me not to wait until something happen. mas malaki daw ang gastos. maganda daw yung stock alternator and starter ko. he said its ok for now, pero pag natuyo na ang tubig at kalawang, dun na magkakaroon ng problem.
    tama ba siya?
