    Good morning,

    thanks in advance

could be because of the following:
    1. clogged fuel filter
    2. defective fuel pump
    3. dirty carb / ari cleaner
    4. faulty ignition system (plugs, ignition cable, coils, contact points, condenser)

Ideal resistance?

Spark plug cable resistance can't be too close to 0 because it will cause interference to your in car electronics. The spark plug cables are designed to have some resistance/inductance to prevent electromagnetic interference and skin effect. That's the reason why if you'll examine the cable inside, you'd see it on a spiral pattern, and not straight/stranded pattern.

Ideal resistance per cable (terminal to terminal) should be less than 25K Ohms...
