parasitic battery drain after 3 days

my car hindi na po nagsstart pag di ginamit ng 3 days..
i suspect a parasitic battery drain...
is there a reliable electrician you guys can recommend?

brought it to wizzard napo...
brought it to jemson nadin...
and another electrician in delmonte..

wizzard kamot ulo..
delmonte din ask ask lang kung may bagong kabit na accessories..
si jemson lang may ginawa.. tinangal fuse ng alarm na suspect niya.. but hindi din gumana e.

i searched sa youtube... may procedure sila.. kayalang natakot lang ako i-diy since baka mas madami pako masira.. hehe

get an ammeter and put the ammeter leads in series with the battery and the main cable, observing polarity. then read the meter reading.
the screwdriver and bulb system will just tell you whether there is electricity flowing or not. for the most part, there IS electricity flowing. but the bulb will not tell you how much, which is what we want to know. we want to know whether we have a big parasite or a little parasite.

if you are scared to do it, ask someone who is familiar with it, to do it for you. the most difficult thing with the test, is overcoming your fear.

btw... that sound eric made in the car? that's not the sound of a dying battery. dying batteries make nary a sound, because the starter barely turns.

We have replaced battery and alternator already kaya seeking for someone na. Gumagamit sana ng multimeter. Wizzard requested for an alternator change nga pala. Baka daw yun.

Medyo marunong ako konti sa multimeter. Kayalang wala din ako good multimeter. Hehe and if bibili ako multimeter. Bayad ko nalang sana sa gumagawa.
Napansin ko kasi cheap multimeter one time use lang. Pag tinabi mo gamitin after 3months di na gumagana. Hehe

On the ammeter test,- it should be < 50mA,- if you have an alarm; lower if you do not have,- probably <20mA.... (check your alarm spec for standby current)

In 24 hours,- 50mA translates to 1200mA which is 1.2 AH; So, in a week of no use,- this is equivalent to 8.4 AH...

Battery is about 40 AH[?],- so you do the math.

madami pa pala electrician na gumagamit ng test lights these days (kakatakot naman). kung may digital tester ka and knows how to use it disconnect mo lang negative cable and i-series mo lang dun un ammeter, kung hindi auto ranging simula ka muna sa higher setting bka ma fry ang tester mo kung malaki ang draw. may bagong technique ngayon using infrared camera (search mo na lang).

hahaha halos ganyan gamit ko dati SUNWA naman. walang silbi kung hindi ka bihasa sa pagbasa ng metro. nung nasira, bumili ako ng digital sa Ace (Newstar brand worth P700). Mas useful siya sabahay o sa kotse.

TS, bumili ka ng digital na may 10 amperes DC current rating. kahit yung sa cdrking pupwede na.

or kung gusto mo ng mas mahusay husay e yung UNI-T na brand sa lazada. Newstar brand pwede na rin pero yung maliit na modelo e walang 10 Amp DC reading.

kung nakabili ka na ganito ang pagkuha ng current draw.

1. disconnect negative battery cable
2. set tester to 10 Amps DC mode
3. connect negative lead of tester to negative terminal of battery
4. connect positive lead of tester to vehicle ground
5. switch to "ON" (hindi START ha kundi sigurado dedbol tester mo agad)
6. ayun na, may mababasa ka na sa tester
7. one at a time ang pagtanggal mo ng fuse para madetermine kung aling circuit ang may problem

pero may isang alternative solution sa pagkuha ng current draw kung walang 10 amps DC ang tester. rebyuhin mo lang ang ohms law (V=IR) tapos dapat mayron kang high resistance resistor (eto yung "R" value). diko na tanda yung resistance value (nasa megaohm range ata kung di ako nagkakamali). basta yung resistor na kuwadrado mas malaki kesa yung regular resistor.

idisconnect mo ang negative battery tapos dun mo iconnect yung resistor. tapos "ON" mo ang sasakyan.

tapos sukatin mo ang voltage drop across the resistor (so mayron ka nang "V").

so I = V/R. ayun makukuha mo na yung current draw.

i have one like it, and i've been using it on and off for the past 10 years.
medyo nakaka-duling lang nang kaunti yung maliit na lyrics ng metro. at dapat ay marunong kang mag-multiply and dibay dibay.
yung negative pole ay yung puti sa kaliwa ibaba. yung positive ay yung pula sa kanan ibaba. kapag binaligtad mo ay baka umusok si sunma. heh heh.

talaga bagang nangyayare ang ganere sa baterya? akin last september 2015 kolang binili, may time ayaw nga din mag start. suspek kopa nung una e yung alternator ko kase walang redondo ni lagitk wala, tas nung pina tulak ko saka sabay kadyot yun nag start tas ng dinala kona sa shop mahina daw koryente parang ganun din kagaya kay bro na problem. yun bang ganere talagang nagyayare sa baterya kahet bago pa lang sya at ilang buwan palang nagagamit?
