OiC65, You can try disassembling the instrument cluster. After that, linisin mo yun likod ng mga gauges using basahan. You can also change the peanut bulbs to ones with higher wattage (5v).

OiC65, try Polarg. This is what I used on my previous Integra.

if you're gonna go branded, ingat lang at madaming peke na sa market ngayon... kahit polarg may peke na... although its relatively cheaper than its raybrig counterpart.

usuall (take note, usually) two screws are holding your plastic bezel. Screws are 'usually' located on the top part (most of the time phillip screw is used). Take the screws out and then pull the gauge bezel towards you. Then, you would 'usually' see three more screws holding the gauge cluster itself, unscrew it as well. Carefully pull the wire connection at the back of your gauge cluster. As soon as the gauge cluster is off the dash board, you can start prying the plastic cover of the gauge. 'Usually,' a snap-on clip is holding the plastic cover against the gauge.

    HTH

'USUALLY' word was primarily used because I did this to a Honda civic and Acura Integra ONLY. but the concept is the same.

    I could be wrong........

OiC65, you dont have to go branded with dashlights. You hardly use them or they hardly get burnt anyway. Now, if you are changing the headlight bulbs, then thats a diff story. Even our regular automotive shops sell peanut bulbs with no name and still works fine. The reason why I used PolarG is because its cheap, and generic peanut bulb at my local automotive shop doesnt have a RED bulb.

NOOOOO!!!! Dont Even Attempt to remove the NEEDLES!!!!! Disaster could occur if you dont have a needle puller.

Unfortunately, we cant any step by step instruction on how to "baklas" the instrument cluster since iba iba mga auto natin. Basta when you reach the instrument cluster, remove the jacks connected to it. Remove the whole instrument assembly and then inspect the peanut bulbs. if you feel comfy, disassemble the gauges themselves, then wipe the backsides.

If at any point, you dont feel right about the operation, then by all means stop :D Mahal mga gauge! :D

 If you dont touch the needles itself, I dont see any reason why the needles will be "off-reading" or to cause it not to work.
