    heh heh.
Haven't bought a Motolite in over a decade. What I have now is the one that came with the car from the factory (blue label Motolite Gold).

The motolite delivery is super convenient for people who dont know otherwise. Amaron also delivers but the coverage is not as extensive.

When we lost out battery at a gas station, the manager gave us a card with Motolite delivery splashed on it. When the delivery arrived he was carrying another Indian brand, Emtrac.

That's Motolite's only merit, IMO. Relatively speaking, Motolite has significantly more reach in terms of availability and ordering convenience.... mighty helpful if you have to call them every year or so. lol

We've had Amaron delivered at home and at night without issues. But the good news is, you will never have to call them up again for another 4-5 years.

Try ko ngayon ang low maintenance (LM) na Quantum NS40 para sa Xpander. 2.3K after trade in 12M warranty.

Anyone upgraded their 2nd generation Toyota IMV platform (Fortuner/Innova/Hilux) from DIN66 to 3SM?

2SM fits easily and yung hold down lang papalitan, whereas the 3SM needs a battery tray change too. Pero almost same lang spec ng DIN66 and 2SM.

Kahit yung next size up ng DIN66 which is DIN74 and even DIN80, mas mataas pa din ang spec ng 3SM CCA and RC.

I've upsized the batteries on some of our vehicles. Battery lasts much longer (+ 2 to 3 years)

Hirap din hanapan minsan ng DIN batteries sa province, pero laging may 2SM and 3SM. Mas mahal pa

I have the same question. Do you have a link on that aftermarket hold down bracket?

DIN batteries are also weirdly more expensive than their close equivalent *SM types.

Interesting, hopefully may naka try na.
I just purchased Amaron Pro DIN100 for 10,400, less 350 due to trade-in.
It would be helpful if kaya pala ng 3SM yung car ko, same specs sa stock battery.
The price is also cheaper, P7,800 price ng 3SM from Amaron site.

Yung dimension pala ng battery yung concern ko.
Mas mataas ng 35mm yung height.
May malaking air filter plastic cladding nakaabang which covers the battery of the car.
Baka hindi kasya based on height.

Mas mataas pala height ng 3sm compare to DIN65 ng Amaron by 50mm.
Length difference is also by 28mm.
Not sure if 28mm and 50mm difference won't obstruct something inside the Toyota IMV platform-based units.

Search for "battery tray" and "battery hold down" na lang sa LZD Racing or SHP Motosports

Sa Innova 2KD I've only used that battery tray, since the stock hold down works naman for both 2SM and 3SM
Sa NP300 no need to change anything from 2SM to 3SM

Aside from the longer lifespan, the starter sounds a lot better, parang gigil lagi mag start lol

Mukhang possible... ito mga nahanap ko sa Youtube so far:
Toyota innova 2019 change battery DIn66 origin convert to 2sm
    Toyota Hilux 2023 | 2SM Amaron | DIY Battery Replacement | Battery Bracket Replacement Fit 2SM & 3SM

got it as backup coz it's dry charged i.e. can be stored w/o degradation. but i accidentally pulled the seal so i had to activate it LOL

    P19xx shipped (lazada)

i like this style of batt coz translucent case makes it easy to check levels. but the plates on this cheap batt aren't full height so the CCA is a paltry 250 (may increase w/ use, batt makers specifically warn that digital batt checkers may not give accurate results w/ newly activated batts)

Ay oo kita ko din iyan sa Lazada. 1988 from batteryexpressph. Worry ko lang kung maayos delivery. Buti nakarating ng maayos diyan.

Based sa comments dito kahit MF kailangan din ng distilled water top up. Kaya might as well buy iyong may ready caps/access.

Na try naman namin OEM LM battery from Indonesia na umabot ng 3+ years. Though mostly highway driven.

Itong recent LM OEM batt, 2 years lang, halos short trips lang.

Mas ok yung may easy access na cap. My Panasonic battery with i-stop (most of the time I missed to turn it off) umabot ng 3 years and 8 months . Ok pa naman battery life which is about 55% and pwede pa for another 4 months + but I decided to replace since your starting to feel it from cold start.

I put AC Delco with i-stop, 24 months warranty.

fitted a 3SM Amaron Pro on a Fortuner 1GD, upgrading from stock DIN66.

DIN74 fits without changing anything, pero mas mahal and Amaron dealers say phased out for this size yung Pro and Hi Life, Go na lang. then mahirap hanapan sa probinsya ang DIN types, halos saan meron lagi 2SM and 3SM. also mas mataas spec ng 3SM even compared to a DIN80, at least on the Amaron Pro lineup.

pwede rin 2SM without changing the OEM tray, battery holder lang.

10/22 nakalagay na manufacturing date on the stock GS battery. never had to add water, nasa full line pa din. nags-start pa naman pero mahina na umikot.

    materials needed:
-wider battery tray (optional), you can just cut the lip of the existing tray.
-battery holder, i used 23cm and 27cm j-hooks. isang size lang meron when you order a set, so i ordered 2 sets to use the other one on another car.

    steps:
    -remove existing battery and tray.
-cut the zip tie on the lower portion of the positive battery cable. also make a slit and remove the tape near the clip attached to the body. this makes the positive cable juuuust enough to reach the higher battery terminals. lubog kasi pag DIN types.
    -install new/modified tray and battery.
-secure the battery using the new holder with 23cm hook on the driver side, and 27cm on the headlight side.
    -start.

kinda bummed that the starter seems to not use the additional juice, compared to 1KD and 2KD engines na galit umistart when you have a stronger battery than stock lol. stock GS DIN66 has 490CCA 65Ah rating, the Amaron Pro 3SM has 775CCA 95Ah.

this is our third Amaron battery, likely will not return to Motolite again.

Getting ready to replace the OEM Motolite as well. This thing is taking longer to die than usual (18 months old, as of this writing). I've already replaced the battery hold-down posts in preparation.

Any reason why you also replaced the hold-down bracket? The 3SM is about the same, if not, slightly smaller in width than the DIN.

Also, drop the link on the battery tray.

My latest Amaron Hi-Life developed corrosion on the positive terminal at 31 months (bought Feb 2023).
Cleaned it up and recharged. Seems to be ok again, debating whether I should open it up and top-up the electrolyte with distilled water.

Warranty was 21 or 24 months I think so it's well over that, but kinda disappointed because my previous Amaron went well over 4 years.

maybe kasama ng replacement posts ? The stock rods are too short for 2SM

    Time to fill-up na.
If within warranty pa, sila daw dapat mag fill-up ng distilled water.
