Help sirs. Bakit ganun laging nagkakaron ng acid un parang coroaaion na color white un battery terminal. 3 battery na sinubukan ko, laging my nagfoform na kulay white sa terminal ng postive pero sa negative wala. Anong problem nito? Diesel engine. Thanks.

That is battery acid. And normal reaction yan kaso Toxic yan. Para linisin, kelangan maneutralize ang acid via baking soda and distilled water. Wag mo din aayaan bumagsak yang white ppwder sa ilalim nang engine dahil dyan nagsisimula magkaron nang rust formation.
Malamang may residue na yung positive terminal mo at kelangan mo nang linisin.

Meron nabibili sa true value na grease for battery terminals. Mga P30 Lang yata per sachet. Pero sobrang limit ng sachet mas malaki pa yun mga ketchups ng fast food. Nilalagay Sa batt terminals para hinde magkanganyan

You might have had contamination in the electrolyte. Only 60% water/40% sulfuric acid should be in the wet cells. Clean all previous corrosion with coke(coca cola) or simple green or suitable cleaner/degreaser and seal the terminals with grease or Vaseline in the absence of battery terminal protector to seal oxygen off. Make sure the terminals are snug tight

bumili ka nang battery terminal na zinc coated... aftermarket ito.

karamihan sa battery terminal eh copper o bronze, nag re-react yan sa sulfuric acid at sa lead terminal...

zinc coating does not react with lead and sulfur kaya wala corrosion, mas mahal nga lang around 500 per battery terminal pair. permanent solution.

Cathodic rxn, signs of poor chassis ground and contacts. Clean all electrical contacts from generator going to battery and chassis using baking soda and water. Apply silicone grease on those contacts.
