Spray it with WD-40 and see if you get better response. Check to see if your battery terminals are attached well. First of all, check if your battery is still holding 12-13.2 volts. If it is about 10 volts, the battery is causing the hard starting situation. In this case also check the alternator to see that it is charging properly.

check ko w/ tester ok naman 14V with engine running, while engine off 12V, yung battery. di ba yan ang normal rating?

i think the alternator is OK since 14V siya. but the battery should be around 12.6V... (or so) baka old lang talaga battery..

normal battery voltage is 13.2 volts (that's 2.2 volts per plate X 6 plates for a lead acid battery).

normal charging voltage from the alternator is 14.6 to 15.8 volts (10% to 20% above battery voltage). anything less leads to a discharged battery, anything more leads to damaged battery plates.

Just replace my battery this morning..... kahapon while parking on a no parking area naka hazard lights ako with the engine off for 2-3 mins.....

When I started the engine after that there was no response.... Tik lang talaga ang maririnig mo.... I let the bat rest for 5 mins.... tapos start uli ako... yun umandar na......

But lately this past few weeks I notice na there are times na may engine usually kick-off on the second try..... Bihira lang yung one-click......

This morning b4 going to work as usual dalawang clicks bago umandar ang engine.... warm-up for about 3 mins.... tapos pinatay ko at kumain muna ako with the stereo on.....

Pa tsek ko sa mechanic my battery is 14V+ with the engine running at 12V kung patay ang makina..... the downside is it discharge power like crazy..... with the engine off and lights on it goes down at 9V in 3 mins time.... And worst even at 12V rating when you turn the ignition.... the voltage suddenly drops at 3V.... BTW my battery was already 2+ years na.... So i had it replaced with a Delko for 2.8K maintenance free at US made....

So ngayon solve na ang problem ko.... :-)

Battery o Alternator
