greetings tsikoteers! nag-fail na naman alternator ko, i had it repaired aug last year lang and bumigay na naman. So talagang papalitan ko na. I'm considering the one sold at handyman, name is Ishin Denki, brand new with 2 years warranty. price is 4,400 for 70A. is this a good buy? by the way my ride is corolla 90, 1.6. i suppose compatible naman sa car ko bec meron silang chart of alternators for the types of cars. I'll appreciate your thoughts on this before i buy it. Thanks!

I remembered when my alternator broke down couple of yrs ago i have it rewind and changed some of its parts like stator, diode, etc. only to find out that it lasted for several months. After that incident, i bought a new one and up to now its working pretty good.

May 26th, 2006 09:21 AM #6I decided to buy it. At least with a brand new one I'll have peace of mind. I had it installed yesterday and it went well. Now my ride is back to normal. For those who were asking where i bought it, sa handyman at robinsons pioneer. inorder ko pa and went back the next day to pick it up. They told me any handyman stores at any robinsons malls meron daw. by the way, just a correction, the warranty is only 6 months and not 2 years... Thanks guys for all the inputs.
