February 13th, 2018 12:00 PM #1Hi, Tsikoteers.
Need your help on my car.
Laging nagooverheat ang sasakyan ko. Pag naka-off ang aircon malaks ang fan pero once I-ON mo sya nmamatay yung auxfan which causes overheating.
At first akala ko fan ang salarin so yun pinalitan ko but still ganun pa din ang sira. Bagong overhaul yung sasakyan din.
Possible kaya na electrical ang problem? Baka meron jan same na experience before.
Thanks!

February 13th, 2018 04:43 PM #6Can you give me a background on inverted logic?
All I know is the moment I bought the aux fan, sinaksak ko lang yung source ng kuyente. Never ko nmn ginalaw yung connections sa old fan ko bigla nalang nagoverheat. I've been receiving suggestions like check your thermostat, your relay and first time marinig yung inverted logic.
Sorry for being such a NOOB on this.
BTW, my car is a ford escape.

What is the make/model/year of the car?
It could be any of the fan control relays,
On my 08 Civic FD, it uses three relays to control the two radiator/AC fan blowers.... two are SPST and one is SPDT.
It has three states.
1. Off - All three relays are off
2. Low Speed (feedback logic based on ECT) - One relay is active and the two fan motors are effectively connected in series (each fan is running at approx. 6V DC)
3. High Speed (feedback logic based on whether the A/C compressor is engaged) - All three relays are active and both fans each have a 12V supply
These are all controlled by the ECM. If the problem is not the relay, check the wiring for any cuts or damage done while the car was being serviced. It's unlikely but if all else checks out, the ECM could be at fault.

February 26th, 2018 11:38 AM #8Had my aux fan checked yesterday. Sira na dw yung module kaya they suggested na iderecho nalang sa fan yung supply ng kuryente. Safe ba yun?
dba masisira kaagad yung fan ko? Parang di ako convinced sa sinabi ng electrician since 4 mos palang yung bago kong fan.
Is it safe na iderecho nalang sa sa fan yung supply ng kuryente?
TIA

The question had been raised, but I'll ask too.
What is the
Make
Model
Production date
Mileage
And what was done prior to the symptom appearing?
