When I was at HCP's January Audio GT last Saturday I saw one of our members with a digital LCD plug-in voltmeter in his 12V power socket. It looks pretty useful especially for people with sound setups and amplifiers...you want to make sure your battery's pushing 14.4V as much as possible![]()
I did once. IMO, reliable enough pero I'd recommend that you don't use it as the sole gauge to determine the "health" and "reliability" of you batt/electrical system.
Kung sa cigarrette lighter nakakabit, you are just monitoring the voltage. pag patay ang makina and walang load, ideally nasa at least 13.8 Volts ang reading.
saw it from this TR3 forum
... but i have yet to buy or make one too.
I bought a small analogue volt-ammeter na 20volt max rating (P60 lang).
I have two of them with a switch. it doubles as a lamp. it is reliable enough
with markings how well your battery is charged, or discharged
guys, why dont you invest installing ammeter and voltmeter gauge, anyway its not that expensive naman, analog gauge cost around P400 then if you know how to install it free pa ang labor but if do not know how to make wiring well better go to auto electrical shops. labor cost around 300 lang. i have both installed in my van and nasa 1k lang ginastos all in all na yun.
used to have that gadget in our previous cars.
useful naman, but weird to other people na sumasakay
now, we have a lot of them, nakastock lang sa bodega. sealed pa lahat
benta ko kaya? =)
are ammeters or voltmeter gauges safe? i heard it screws up your electricals daw.
AFAIK: volt meters only measures the volts/current coming from the alternator to the batteries!
*rion nice idea men
about the battery indicator??? try to google nalang po kung ano ang battery indicator
