gud am po!tanong or advice po sana kung ano sira nung ride ko?
bale po tumatakbo kami knina sa edsa pauwi sa bhay when suddenly my gauge showed the Battery signal , at first i thought na grounded lang or intermitttent yung wiring kasi minsan nag iilaw yung batt sa panel ko din nawawala nmn.
after runnning quite a long i noticed the batt signal is stilll ON,this time medyo isip na ko so by the time na nakauwi kami ng bahay i turn off the engine tpos try to start the engine ayaw , as in yung tunog e trrrrrk parang drain yung yung batt ,wala redondo e, try many times ayaw talaga i try to tulak then try to start OK na.
but when i try to check batt using VOM/tester it still shows 12.++ volts if patay yung engine so i start the engine OK start sya but when i check the batt terminal using tester e voltage is going down to around 10.++ volts na lang ,
what bothers me is i remembered 1 tip from fellow tsikoteer is if patay engine OK lng yung 12V n testing but if the engine is running ,the Alternator should charge the batt so the Voltage should be around 12.++~ 13.++V n sya if meaured on the batt terminals.right?hehehe pls correct me if Im wrong mga sir
tanong ko lang po mag sir any ideas or inputs kung ano sira nito?is my alternator got problem?any other way to test if my alt is still ok/charging?

The battery lights on the dash indicates that there is difference between the demand for electricity and the normal running current from alernator. It should not be coming out, if it is there is a problem in your charging circuit.
Will start from here. Is your battery new or old? If your batt. is more than 4 yrs, replace it now. First check all connection from the battery to the alternator make sure all the connections are tight and free of rust and dirt. Check local shop or auto supply kung may alternator checking station sila at dalhin mo doon.
Here some that needs to check:
Broken alternator belt (not fan belt) for cracked and also slippage.
Bad voltage regulator.
Bad alternator. Most mechanics shop can measure the voltage output of your alternator assembly and check for irregular/bad output. If it is replaced it.
charging should be at least 14v at idle without load .
batt light in your cluster means something's wrong within your charging system . possible troubles are ; carbon brushes worn - out , rotor , stator , voltage regulator or the rectifier assy. assuming that your wires are OK , and the alternator is turning at required RPM .
bago po yung batt mga cguro 6 months p lang yun ,tsek ko na rin yung alt belt kapapalit din lang yun las 4 months ago kasama ng PS belt ,tska yung terminals nmn ng batt bale kapapalit din lng mga 2 days ago.

yun nag sir bale during engine OFF batt voltage is around 12.++V but durin idle wlang load nsa 11.++V lng
bale balak ko sana tanggalin na lng yung alternator at dalhin yung Alt sa shop kaso anlakas ng ulan hehehe
bale DIY tsek ko na lng sana muna dito sa bahy kung yun nga sira para sigurado ko at least konti lang downtime hirap din lumayo baka tirik aabutin ko e hehehe
