Is it just me or are there more classic, old school and muscle cars on the streets nowadays?

Just in front of where i work is a red 72 240z na mukhang ginagamit pang color code kasi once a week siya naka park sa slot niya. it just showed up 6 months ago.

Beetles alone make up for a lot of sightings.

A few weeks back may tumabi sa akin na 67-68 camaro convertible na black sa buendia stoplight. as well as a TR2 and TR4 on separate occasions. MGs, alfas, the list is endless. And last saturday nga lang i was on NLEX with a fellow tsikoteer at may nakita siyang 63-67 Vette racing past us. Tinuro nga sa akin.

Another tsikoteer was sending mms's from Baguio last new year of his sightings. May impala, mustang and a convertible...nova i think?

Anyway, before i left the country the only real classics would be at the transhows or motorshows...now they seem to be driven units used for more than just the weekend jaunt. Kasi i see them on normal workdays din.

Is the "old school" car movement gathering speed?

Definitely. I saw a shop full of restored VW beetles while walking along v. luna in qc the other day. When I took a peek inside, I saw a porsche spyder (i assume it was a replica). I wanted to go in for a closer look but chickened out hehe. Ill prolly take a closer look sometime this week when I pass by that area again.

Even if we check the classifieds, old school is definitely making a comeback, from old american iron to old school japanese and euro.

Dito sa province namin, there's a 60's (i think) na black ThunderBird roving around even on regular days.

Another keeper seen around here is the mustard yellow VW Combi, completely restored with original hubcaps, white sidewalls and spare tire sa front!

Oh they're making a comeback alright. They're here to stay

bro IMO yung car mo classic na and its worth keeping old cars lalo na kung may sentimental value.

My daily drive is 80-90% restored 1983 Corolla GL. It was the first (2nd hand) car I bought with my own money and I really take care of it more than I take care of my "97 Civic. I work in an ad agency somewhere near Gbelt and I used to park along Salcedo (I now park in MCS kasi it's cheaper :D). I like driving it kasi wala siya masyadong kapatid unlike my Honda na andaming relatives sa roads kahit saan ka lumingon. :D

mahirap din kasi mag maintain ng kotse sa PH because of the weather...you can hardly see a 15yr old car na hindi nagkaroon ng body repair dahil sa kalawang....just last week i saw an early 70's corolla on original paint and i can tell wala syang repair sa body..

People are beginning to notice old school cars now bec most people who hate Telenovelas are glued into history, or TLC channel. And would encounter television shows such as Pawnstars, King of Restorations, American pickers and of course the ever popular Counting cars!

Been glued to this show since two years ago, and bought a box type lancer 3 mos back, I'm in the process of acquiring a Civic hatch or a Civic Esi

I've recently went to Vegas in the Fremont area and toured all these popular TV restorations shows. And my guess was confirmed, Americans are getting obsessed with the classics. Even Danny aka the Count is restoring old A-team Vans as well as motor homes aside from his forte, muscle cars and bikes.

I already have a 1st gen CRV and Old starex in my garage. I'm just waiting for these kids to grow up who grew up in Starex school buses or whose fathers had 1st gen CRV's, sigurado bebenta mga investment ko in 2-5 years

People nowadays are getting sick of overpriced low down cars na naging milking cow ng mga bank and financial people, imagine a Wigo at almost 1M in 5 years, I'd rather restore old 90's corollas or Box-type Pajeros

This one looks almost exactly like my old 1991 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo except mine was a 5-speed MT. Same exact blue color. US2500.00, odometer: 108k miles.

The 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Plymouth Laser, and Eagle Talon are all siblings from the same basic Diamond Star design. I liked the Laser the best because it had the most minimalist exterior.

Do you see more "old school" classics on the road now?
