Kuya about sa back up light, euro design ang yaris. Pag umatras ka isa lang talaga ang iilaw. Yung sa kabila na sinasabi mong pundido yun ang fog light. Sinisindihan yun in heavy rains, fogs, or very dark roads. Ang switch nun nandun din sa light switch right side ng steering wheel natin.

Euro design, one white for backing up one fog light which kung mapapansin mo is bright red. Unless you go for jdm design ng rear tail lights.

Ah kaya pala haha! totoo nga sabi ng toyota. euro nga.

Bro pano ulit i-engage yung bright red sa tail light? di ko kasi mahanap hehe! na nose bleed ako kakahanap.

nandun sa may ilaw. Turn on the lights. tapos turn on the fog light sa harap that's one click. Click mo ulit naka turn on na ang rear fog light. Makikita mo sa dash may lumabas na orange light indicator.

Hello fellow Yaris owners!

I recently acquired a 2008 1.5 M/T Yaris and I've been hooked on driving it! Sarap i-drive at maganda ang acceleration. Medyo matagtag yung suspension pero ok lang naman :D

Anyway, just want to ask kung ano gasoline ang gamit nyo sa Yaris nyo? According to the previous owner of my car, Caltex Silver w/ Techron daw ang kinakarga nya. I believe it's listed as 93 Octane sa mga Caltex stations.

However, sa manual I read .. and I quote:

"OCTANE RATING
Select Octane Rating 87 (Research Octane Number 91) or higher.
Use of unleaded gasoline with an octane rating or research octane number lower than stated above will cause persistent heavy knocking. If it is severe, this will lead to engine damage. "

So does this mean, I can use lesser octane fuel (and lesser priced!) like Clatex Regular unleaded, which is listed as 88 Octane in Caltex stations?

Anybody of you guys aware if the octane ratings in our gas stations are Research Octane Numbers (RON) of Pump Octane Numbers (PON)?

NO. Because that 88 octane regular is RON 88 only and RON 91 ang minimum...

By the way congrats on the Yaris. As for me I carry Shell Super Unleaded most of the time, I feel my mileage is better on said fuel...

So you're saying gas stations here in the Philippines are listing Research Octane Numbers (RON) instead of Pump Octane Numbers (PON)?

I've been searching everywhere in the net for any verifiable data confirming the answer for this question, but can't find any...

I only read somewhere that US gas stations list PON ratings, while UK and European stations list RON ratings.

Will be buying a car this July. Considering two options either Toyota Yaris 1.3E AT or Suzuki Swift 1.2 AT. It'll be mostly for city driving with occasional out-of-town trips like Tagaytay and Baguio (say, once every quarter).

Which do you think is more practical in terms of durability, safety, FC, maintenance, and after sales service?

Good day guys!

I just bought a used 2007 yaris M/T and nun una ok cya sa lahat but after a week I observed parang may knocking sound coming from underneath the car sa may driver side. Di nmn masyado rinig un sound pero pag nadaan sa tlagang malubak na kalsada may maririnig ka na parng something loose.

Pinakita ko sa Toyota Casa and wala nmn daw cla nakita except loose bolts. So hinigpitan lng nila and parang nawala nga un knocking sound pero after 2 weeks bumalik nnmn. May nahit ata ako kcng mejo malalim na pothole the other day. May naka experience na po ba ng ganito? I tried to seach sa web... nakita ko parang similar issue sa yarisworld club (Warning - Broken control arm bolt! - Page 11 - Toyota Yaris Forums - Ultimate Yaris Enthusiast Site). Due to corroded bolt#2 daw sa may lower control arm. Anyone experience this?
