i was wondering why most chinese cars are 1.5L and why some japanese cars are turning to it too. it's about excise taxes pala in China.

go buy coolrays, GAGCs, MGs, Sangyongs, make year 2020 a revolution on car tastes and prices, langawin yan PPV hmpf ang mahal na.

mayaman naman China eh, malaking backer yan

kita nyo nga tinatalo na ng Huawei, Oppo, Mi ang Samsung, LG, Apple

sa cars kaya na nila yan talunin yan overpriced Jap and Korean Cars.

5 years warranty yan mga Chinese diba? that's good deal.

nun 2007, I was one of the first who bought Hyundais na perceived at subpar quality vs jap Brands noon. eh ngaun nasakin pa dun Hyundai ko 13 years after.

alagaan nyo lang mabuti Chinese cars nyo tapos suportahan nyo ang dealership, mag EB kayo, fun run, and experience sharing and connect with the dealership organize charitable orgs or relief operations. lalakas din yan mga MG na yan, saka coolray, saka BYD, Foton

1.5 gas with turbo. Quite fast acceleration. Generation ahead of the Jap and Korean competition.

These are resurrected MGBs w/ existing old VINs. Frontline is doing what The FJ Co. is doing w/ the classic 40s.

And in some ways, like the Singer reimagined Porsches.[emoji4]

I don't think that MG's quality is poor. The brand name will suffer if they fail here. The market share in Thailand is going up. They even JV'd with CP. I think, Phils. will follow. Our current government wants us, the Filipinos to experience fair treatment, and not to suffer more from the hands of oligarchs. That's why they are bringing in these Chinese/Fujian-made cars into our land. It's like buying a DJI.

    only time will tell.
it is probably a combination of product build quality and dealer aftersales support.

I like classic MG sportscars, even the tiny MG Midget. Knowing classic British cars reliability issues, I'm okay with a Miata powered MG.

The MGB stayed basically the same from 1963 to 1980. British Leyland / Rover should have replaced the MGB with something more up to date. Instead, Mazda beat them to it with the MX-5.

Upon seeing the Mazda MX-5 for the first time, Gordon Sked (Rover head of design) knew that the Designers had been right all along in pushing for a new MG convertible. It was obviously a bitter-sweet moment for him, and he has been quoted as saying that the MX-5’s announcement made him feel like crying.

BMW pretty much froze Rover. Once the Bavarians got their cravings off the Brits for FWD & SUV platforms (MINI & X5, the offsprings of that tryst), they threw Rover over to Ford, which handed the potato to Tata.
Had BMW dropped Mini, the R53 would've looked like this....[emoji37]
....And Wahlberg & Theron would've turned down the remake of The Italian Job.[emoji13]

^ The MINI concept ACV 30 is based on the mid-engined, rear wheel drive MGF.

Just like Volvo (Sweden) which is now owned by Geely (China). Rover and Jaguar (UK) are now owned by Tata (India). Pirelli is also now owned by a Chinese company.

Aeolus is now producing for Pirelli, hence the shortage of the former's passenger car line.
