"japanese" is no guarantee for quality or durability. isa ako sa nag-advice kay slapz before na jap brand na lang bilihin. bumili ako ng mazda (thailand made japanese branded) na supposedly a go anywhere 4x4. eto sakit ng ulo, 3 turbochargers na napalitan at 1 intercooler, 1 year pa lang and less than 10,000 km tinakbo. well of course i can't really blame it on the mazda. i actually blame it on ford (australia) who did the design of the engine, and this actually reinforced my belief of "never buy a ford". on this one, slapz is the happy guy and I am the one with the headaches. ano na mileage ng H7 mo slapz?

pero di pa rin nagbabago, para sa akin ang maganda lang na chinese e yung "chinita". doubtful pa din ako maliban na lang kung apple ang tatak. there are so many chinese made products we use at work that do not even come close to what we were used to, namely US made products like steel, pipes and machinery. no ford, GM meron and still the best big diesel engine out there imho.

for my home i still don't buy chinese if i can avoid it. i agree with syuryuken on this one.

Then why buy the Toyotas and all those Made in Japan? Hindi ba mas grabe ang ginawa ng mga hapon sa Pinas?

Insulting lang kapag car? Eh paano yung mga Cellphones and the like?

But anyway, not considering all the stigma and whatever opinion people have over chinese cars, the Haima7 is actually a decent CUV. It was just perfect for us back then. And nakita ko na inaalagaan pa nila yung brand.

Anyway, now siguro, dami ng options. I don't think I would get one today, if I were buying. Just because of the stigma, somehow, I want something that some people would call "susyal". After all, a car is a luxury, so you would want to feel a bit luxurious. Ahaha!

It's not because the product is made in China. Multinational companies transferred their manufacturing because of cheaper costs but the Quality Control is still in place, the materials used is above standards. They have a brand reputation to protect. Chinese brands, on the other hand, is suspect.

Siguro sa electronics ayos yan, they do have a reputation to protect and thus maintain quality. Cars and all things made of steel in general are another matter. Metallurgy is strategic in nature and is not readily passed on. That is why chinese made engines even if they sport known and trusted brand names fall short. So goes for other machinery. Even stainless steel is not stainless when it is made in china.

One thing that I am sure na wala sa mga Chinese Cars is resale, diyan ka talaga talo. Pero me, I bought an Haima7 way back 2012, without considering it, kasi sabi ko, di ko naman binebenta. No regrets with my purchase. Di pa naman ako binibigyan ng sakit sa ulo at puso ng 7 namin.

Back then it was still cheap, 799K lang after discounts yung entry level. Not sure kung magkano ngayon, meron din ata big discounts ngayon?

So, back to my first point, if you don't really care what others might say about your ride, because believe me, all of them, ang tatalino, bakit di nalang daw ito, bakit di nalang yan, bakit yan kinuha mo, even though you are not asking them for their thoughts, go consider it, it's a nice vehicle. Especially kung sa Central Luzon area ka naman..

Nicely said. This is what I am trying to get at but apparently could not get the words right. People have been saying that buying Chinese goods will not make any difference since most, if not all, are made in China now. But buying Chinese brands may be supporting their economy directly. As Filipinos, we just have to be more ethnically responsible. It is interesting to note, though, that most Pinoys in forums do not like to patronize these Chinese cars because of the on going conflict.

Buying China-Made requires due diligence, kelangan magresearch ng mabuti. Multiple test drives and all that.. Not unlike with reputable brands, pwede pa-easy easy.

You guys have exemptions to those China-made products, I think I can add Haima on that list. H7 got 28,000+KM already...

Madami pa din naman na hindi made in china. Kung made in china na lahat e di sana buong mundo pulubi na. Pilipinas sana e wala nang factories at 50% na sana ng mga tao wala nang trabaho.

You just need to make a conscious effort to choose what you buy. Check the label. And if you have a choice befween PROC and Proudly Made In The Philippines then do the right thing.

Mukhang mainit ang usapan nyo re: china products ah. mas makakatulong siguro kung mga experiences at mga inquiries ang mga naipopost at nasasagot dito. iisa lang naman intention naten di po ba?

In-laws ko nga nag acquire ng Haima Fstar last year nung hindi nako connected sa kanila, iilan palang mileage nya meron ng sakit ng ulo. Siguro chempuhan lang din kahit gaano kapa ka ingat at metikuloso. Walang perfect brand, nasa budget din kaya siguro tinatangkilik naten at syempre kaakibat ng malaking risk. Acceptance lang yan. Alam mo binili mo at kung magkano linabas mong pera kaya wag din naman mag expect na sobrang sulit ang product.

Sa mga nagtitingin tingin kung anong magandang brand, tama po mga naka post dito. Maraming research kailangan at very powerful yung mga testimonials ng mga owners. Ako, recommendation ko lang is wag pong mag madali. Wag po kayong makipag murahan o magpapasilaw sa mga low DP. Dagdagan nyo pa po ipon nyo at bumili kayo yung talagang gusto nyo na kakayanin ng budget nyo. Madaming brands na pweding iconsider. Magtanong muna po kayo sa Service Department kung ano yung mga palaging nasisira sa ganitong sasakyan, ano palagi yung kineclaim sa warranty. In other words, kung ano palagi yung sakit ng ulo ng mga naunang owners na gumamit ng binabalak mong sasakyan bago ka pumunta sa Sales Department para pumili ng model ng brand. HTH
