Even with all the "hype" the Chevy Volt claims regarding the so-called "small carbon footprints", environmentally friendly "no emission".... engine will only start firing up to recharge lithium battery after the official claim of 38miles/61km......it's still a "hard sell" for americans or other consumers. With the cost in the US at $41,000+tax, its very expensive!!....For average americans..... not those diehard "tree-huggers".... it's too much!! You can get an "identical gas powered" top of the line Chevy Cruze LTZ for $23,000+tax.....it all boils down to money!!.....No wonder they're cutting down. I heard from CNBC, the assembly Volt plant is now reconfigured to produce the Chevy Impala.......
