    But gasoline is cheaper than diesel.

    Diesel delivers a higher fuel-efficiency, and also a Diesel engine can be easily adapted to run on a wide range of alternative fuels which cost-effectiveness is increasing...

    The biggest problem is the weight of the diesel engine.

    For the same overall power, the gasoline engine will be lighter.

    Lighter vehicle weight means better fuel economy.

    Currently the power-to-weight ratio is not so unfavorable to the Diesel as it used to be. Also, we might consider the higher torque...

    OT......I think Solyndra went bankrupt even with massive Federal financial support.....last I heard US Treasury Agents raided CEO Brians Harrison's home to gather, if any illegal evidence from his files. The company was under criminal investigation/probe for misrepresentation or something........don't know what happen next......
