nope, what the optra really needs is a change of engine. one thats really economical, not a pretending eco-tech engine which gulps gas like it was an SUV.

no, what the optra needs is a complete redesign n re-engineering inside and out. optra=hanggang pangalan lng. its still a daewoo.

Nothing wrong about being a Daewoo, IMHO.
I wouldn't even mind if they sold it as a Daewoo here.

On a side note, the City of Manila has just acquired a fleet of Optras for use as police vehicles.

glntvr and I went to GM Auto World Makati this afternoon:

its only the grill and the bumper. Nothing else. 3pc grill will be retained in the 1.8LT variant.

Nyak dapat sa 1.8 LT variant na lang ang one pc grill.

goodluck na lang sa mga new police cars..

Baka kaya they retained the 3 piece grill on the 1.8LT is baka siguro because madami sila stocks of the 1.8LT, wala siguro bumibili ng 1.8LT considering the really bad fuel economy of the 1.6LS paano pa yung 1.8LT.

just visited the manila showroom of chevrolet and inquired on the Optra 1.6LT w/c cost 710k. nothing new from the last year model except the grill and the new Blaupunkt 5disc DVD. Ill b buying a new car and i would like to consider Optra. Can u give me some gud and bad features of this car. mileage, handling etc. Is it worth the the price?

was able to drive glntVR's 1.6LS m/t Optra. I am not impressed with the transmission but the sound system is nice.
