31.9 km/h is the average speed recorded by the computer for the trip. My top speed is less than 70 km/h coz of the alternate roadworks after the zigzags useless bilisan coz magbebreak ka din.

bro, ask ko lang. napansin kasi ng pinsan ko na mas malambot daw yung shock sa likod ng sonic. nangyari ito sa humps, then we got out of the car and opened the compartment. niyugyog niya yung likod at kinumpara sa harap. mas may "bounce" yung sa likod. ganito din ba sa iyo?

Didn't compare yung sa harap vs sa likod pero vs city mas bouncy ang city very stable ang sonic namin yung city tumatalbog pag mabilis sa slex at napadaan sa mga tulay

sabi nya dapat daw e pantay ang stiffness ng shocks. "patay" daw ang sa likod...

kung may time ka paps baka pwedeng pa yugyog naman ng sonic hehe...

I'm not a shocks expert but why should they be the same? The front has a heavy engine to support right? Also the front and rear suspensions are not of the same type.

pag dumaan ako sa humps, masdan yung hood...after ng front wheels and dumaan sa humps, isang bounce sa hood. then after ng rear wheels dalawa ang bounce sa hood. unang theory ko e dahil nga mabigat ang engine kaya pag lapag ng rear ay uuga ulit dahil sa bigat ng engine sa harap, parang see-saw..

Sa riles ramdam na ramdam sa city pero sa sonic parang wala lang. Gano kataas ang humps dyan? Pacheck mo kaya yung sonic mo?

may nakausap ako sa ibang sonic forum, mga taga US, sabi nila normal lang daw na mas malambot ang likod. and besides comfort ang hanap at hindi daw racing. kung i-mod daw ito that time gagawing stiffer ang shocks sa likod. nung unang sakay ko talaga ng sonic pansin ko pa nga matigas at parang mas stable ang suspension compare sa gamit ko dati ditong company car namin (camry)..

Sonic is not the best choice kung fuel consumption at parts ang priority mo. That said, both the cabin and trunk are big, with 60/40 folding rear seats. Madami ding useful feature na wala sa ibang model. It is also very comfortable to drive on very long distances.

Hello po mga ka sonic tatanong lang po san murang magpagawa ng side mirror for sonic yung mura. Ang mahal kasi sa casa 9k na yung isang side mirror yung sa driver's side lang kaya parang nagdadalawang isip kami kumuha. salamat po sasasagot

Hello all, sorry for the slight necro post, but this is the only sonic thread I could find....

Following my purchase of a tbz, now looking to get a small car as an extra one for the wife and me, and considering the sonic hatch. Just wanted to ask:

1) how is it holding up for owners through the years? Any major problems? Are parts a problem as casa?
2) is the engine really that underpowered, as claimed by several reviews? Given what I've read here, fc isn't that horrible at 6-8, I can live with that.

honestly medyo may problem ang sonic pag automatic yung transmission. may time na nag under power sya. and in terms of fuel consumption may kalakasan compare sa vios. but sa manual medyo ok naman. wala kameng gaanong concerns sa casa pag dating sa engine. but eto naman ang bawi nya. smooth ride. maganda ang cabin. classic ang design ng body. matibay din ang pang ilalim. aircon is good also.thanks.
