That said, since this car has been discontinued, you will have to buy used. Selling price should be around 450,000.

It seats 10. Gas consumption is around 5 kms/L city and 10 km/L highway. I have mine maintained by Speedyfix. Sobrang taga ng casa. It likes 5w30 or 10w30 weight oil. Dont use heavier viscosity as it will mess up your fuel consumption.

I buy parts from Thunder Automotive. They have better prices than casa. However, some parts are order basis.

Common problems with this car: overheating, whistling noise from the AC, suspension probs. The whistling noise comes and goes but its more of a nuisance than anything else. It wont hut your AC. For the suspension, I just had it fixed by Cruven. 1 year na and so far so good.

It is a nice looking minivan. But sad to say not very well built. Stories of its problems abound. A year 2000 unit was offered to me at 275K-- it still looked nice, but looking at its gas consumption I had to buy another minivan.

Very low resale value. Which is good if you're buying 2nd hand. But makes you wonder why?

Chevy venture namin pinalitan namin ng starex grx CRDi. Best decision ever.

Chevy venture at city is 3km/liter. that was the most expensive maintanance car that we had pero wala naman value ang model na yan.

Up to now the stigma of owning that chevy made us avoid all Chevy cars altogether.

before i owned a venture, the problem is the radiator cap. dont just replace it with ordinary 0.9 pressure, spec is 1.1 but you can use 1.4 which you can buy at blade and true value. kasi pag sira rad cap or 0.9 naikabit, sigurado overheat venture nyo, ganyan nangyari sakin. tapos watch out sa leak ng colant sa upper part ng cylinderhead, common na sakit yan ng venture. transmission, nagjejerk pag mainit na engine. kung maiiwasan ang venture, iwasan na lang para di sumakit ulo.

venture lang po ang sakit sa ulo, other chevy cars wala naman cguro, i own a captiva now for almost 2 years na and 2006 aveo hatch wala naman ganyang problem.

Wala naman problem sa venture namin. I guess the problem with overheating starts with improper maintenance and not following the standard procedure for changing the coolant. Kailangan kasi mableed. Ng husto yung system para walang hangin sa loob.

I'll second that. The GM High-Value V6 engine is not what I would call fragile or unreliable. With decent PMS this engine can run nearly forever. About replacement parts: it wouldn't be so hard to get it from the Chinese-made Buick GL8, which was a rebadged version of the Chevy Venture.

i recommend against it. at any price.
it's an orphan.
spare parts are probably hard to come by, by now, because not many were sold in its heydey, and it's 12 years old by now..
and when the parts are available, they will probably be "unreasonably expensive".
buy something else. it won't be easy getting a worse buy, but...

but if it were given to you for free... take it and sell it as scrap or as "pry what you buy"..

take it from me.. i've been there, and i've done it..
get a toyota na lang. any model. it'll be easier.

Ang average price ng Venture is 250-300k.

Kung may nagaalok sayo ng mas mababa diyan, like that 138k, siguradong problematic yan. Di niya yun ibebenta ng ganun kamura kung good condition.

Nagcheck po ako online ngayon. Madaming 160k-200k. Sila po yung medyo sablay? Kung gusto ko ng venture na mapapakinabangan ko talaga eh yung mga nasa 250k-300k? Hindi po ba basta basta makikita ng mekaniko ang totoong kundisyon? Mahirap po ba makakuha ng direct seller kasi binibili kagad ng mga car dealer pagkapost nila online? Pasensya na kung matanong

Paano po ba ang strategy ng pagbili? Madami pong nagbebenta ngayon ng venture kaya asahan kong magpababaan sila ng presyo Tingin ko kahit nasa 150k lang eh hindi naman siguro karagkarag. Direct seller lang siguro sila. Karamihan kasi ngayon puro dealer ang nakikita ko na 200K+. Tulad po ng sinasabi niyo na malaki po ang problema ng venture kaya asahan ko na lang yung pagbaba ng presyo. Mas maganda pala kung wala ng mga dealer para mas makaroon ng pagkakataon na magkaroon ng sasakyan ang iba

Bro kung gusto mo talaga pagpilitan yung murang unit, pwede naman. But I don't know of anyone who'll sell they're fresh units lower than market price. Bat ko naman ibenenta ng kalevel ng bulok kung alam kong okay yung unit ko diba.

Usually yung nagbebenta ng mura, yung mga gipit sa pera. And since gipit nga sila, di naman sila maselan sa maintenance ng kotse. Kung tiwala ka sa mekaniko mo na kayang ayusin yung unit na makukuha mo, then no problem. Pero hindi madali makahanap ng piyesa ng Venture ha.

Salamat po sa pagsagot. Siguro ang dapat kong itanong eh paano kaya ang pagkuha ng market price o saan nakabase? Hindi po ako nakikipagdebate ha. Curious lang ako kung paano ang kalakaran sa sistema ng mga sasakyan. Hindi ba nakabase ang halaga niya sa magkano willing ang mga buyer bilhin ang isang bagay at hindi sa mga sellers?

Nagtataka lang ako kasi nung nakaraan parang mababa na ang mga presyo na nakikita ko. Saan kaya nagbabase ang mga online sellers? Sa nakapost na ads ng iba? Ayon din sa posts dito ay talagang hindi lang pangit ngunit halos aksaya pa ng pera.


Kung sakaling may isang sitwasyon kaya na yung mga nagbigay ng negative feedback at nandidiscourage na bilhin ang venture ay maobligang bumili. Magkano kaya halaga na makakasundo sila? Di na po siguro ako bibili, Curious na lang...
