The Captiva was really meant to be available as a 7-seater, they just didn't sell it here until recently.
Its also not really a direct competitor of the bigger Santa Fe which is large enough to be a mid-size SUV.
The Captiva is somewhere between the size of the smaller Tucson and the bigger Santa Fe, but its closer in size to the latter.

try kong sumagot kahit wala akong captiva

The fortuner, montero sport, and everest which alll fall in the similar price range are all way better off-road and are easier to maintain as well.

I was looking to buy captiva last August, ok naman yung test drive. I also sat at the third row so I can feel if matagtag pero maganda naman ride. So I was already decided to get one until I realized the gas version wasn't really a good buy since its diesel version is priced same as montero.

So I ended up buying the montero and buti na lang. Ride ng montero mas maganda than my civic and altis 2002 models, even third row ng montero mas maganda pa rin as compared even sa front seat ng both civic and altis, no exageration.
