Hello guys, I will be getting my ltx from casa on Friday. I'm now searching on the net how to break in a new suv. Results are confusing. How did you break in your new suv? What was stated in the manual?
If you're from MM or nearby, bring it to Tagaytay-Nasugbu and back. Traffic there is not a problem so u can accelerate and decelerate at your will, which afaik, is the best way to break-in a vehicle/motorbike. I used to drive a company provided TB for 4 yrs abroad and I have nothing but praises for its features/performance. From 3kms to 185,000 the only problem came was the exhaust system when its around 90K kms. Can't remember if nasa manual ang break-in instruction. So you end up getting the TB! Congrats. STill thorn between TB and Isuzu MU-X but will pick either one of them before December. When I get it, God willing, am planning to drive the first 100kms to Tagaytay-Nasugbu-Ternate via Mt. Palay-palay Ntl Park to see how good it is. Ituloy ko ang break-in going to Ilocos Norte (567kms Imus, Cavite to Burgos I.N.) just in time to celebrate the New Year there.![]()
Yes, we ended up with the tbz. We are from la union and we will be getting the suv on Friday at dagupan. Then travel to manila this weekend. I have read kasi in some articles in the net that driving a car like you stole it is the way to go. But I want to own this suv for a minimum of 5 years and since this is our first car, I would like to do it right. Thanks.
tama yung LTX na ang tire brand nya ay Goodyear at may seat cover na kuldoroy aside sa leather also with floor mat sa rear third row side.....ok naman ang chevy dagupan very accomodating mga personnel, medyo matagal nga lang response nila sa problema ko sa infotainment....anong tint brand ang i offer nila sa iyo?huper optik or 3m?mas tipid ka kung mag semi synthetic oil ka na lang.....my 5,000kms pms cost me P6,079 while my 10,000kms pms is worth P5,749.....
SUVs will still need to be subject for PMS every 5k despite using fully synthetic oil. Although they will do a top up instead of replacing the oil.
I am planning on getting the TB 4x4 LTZ by January next year. Who is the person I should talk to at Chevy Commonwealth to get a good deal?
For those who have brought their tbz AT to baguio and the like, did you use the manual option or just put it on D mode whenever going up or down. Or is it advisable to put it on 3rd or 4th gear when going down from baguio?
just use the d
going down even the lt at has a down decent control but this one is automatic and uses the engine(engine breaking?), the ltz has a hill decent control on top of this down decent control(engine break assist?)
found this out much later when going down winding and steep roads the head up display(driver information) will tell you that the engine break is enabled.
bro, had tried both and i love the torque. medyo nagugulat yung nalalampasan ko. maraming gustong sumunod pero malakas talaga sa akyatan ang TBZ. pero ingat ka kung gusto mong ma-testing ang kanyang performance sa akyatan papunta sa Baguio lalo na kung hindi mo kabisado ang daan.
no worries ka sa descent. dyan mo magagamit yung hill descent control nya. just put it on D and the rig control will do the rest.
